lets try this again.

the last thread was closed because it was 2 pages long and nobody listened to the guidelines i set out.

1) nominations are to begin on THURSDAY.... thats THURSDAY unless specified otherwise.

2) Congratulations can then be disperses after the award has been given to a member for that week.

3) the award will be given on saturday at any time.

4) nominations for the next week will begin on THURSDAY

Just to clear things up what are the guidelines about nominating people. Is it just the person that we think made the biggest or best contribution that week, or do we decide the criteria for the member of the week on our own personal basis. Also I know we are allowed to have people win more than one MOTW award, but can we allow the fact that somebody has or hasn't won yet influence the decision to make that person MOTW.

I have a question... i know we can start to nominate members on thursday, but we have a lot of members here who are leaving in many different time zones... like jdb for example who lives in Australia... for him, thursday starts at least 16 or 18 hours ahead of me... just something to think about...

Anyway, since its really thursday here and now, i would like to nominate Seraphim.
Just for the name change and all, i think the guy deserve the award to start the year.

hmmm didnt think this needed explaining

start nominations on thursday... if it is thursday where you live then post...

if that was the case, members in australia would have to wait until 10pm or so there time in order for thursday to reach a member in hawaii.
