But I gave him good rep for the apology. I don't give bad rep unless I think someone is trying to horribly use or hurt somebody.

I agree. Some of you - not all by any means - are acting like children on a school yard. What's the big deal?
Do you really have nothing better to do then beat on this guy?
Or is it that you enjoy beating on people? I hope not. But some of you sure seem to be deriving at least some pleasure from this.

I have, sort of. But then I think it has already been established that you are a more honourable man then I - in my opinion.

I told people in high school I went on a date with a babe student. Stupidest fucking thing I have ever done; well, up until that time. And did I ever regret it.

Maxwell i think most people including myself will respect you more if you stick it out and carry on at freeones......after all this has given me the biggest laugh ever at freeones (you're famous!!) maybe not for the best of reasons but "no publicity is bad publicity". Anyway i think its going to make you a stronger member if you carry on.......and ignore the bad reps, i gave you one only because you brushed off what i said about the pic originally. Lesson learnt now move one :hatsoff:

I think maxell can attest to the fact that I've sent him a couple of encouraging private messages. It takes a mighty strong person to admit when he or she has been wrong.

What took place was a joke in poor taste gone wrong... and I, for one, see no reason why he should close his account, leave, or anything along those lines. What's happened... happened. The only thing left to do is move forward from this issue.

In-4-mant and mcrocket are right... he's paid the penalty in embarassment and humiliation. He acknowledged he was in wrong and I think we should all accept the fact that he has owned up to it. That in itself deserves a great deal of recognition and applause. It is rather hard to admit when you've been wrong...

Takes a lot of guts and balls to admit to it, guys.

i think the embarressment is enough punishment for him. he should have picked another chick that wasn't one of the most famous man show juggies to claim to be his g/f. other than that it was pretty funny, cause he had an answer for everything.

Yeah dude, don't leave. I think it was funny as hell and the only reason I told Brianelka I'd bad rep you again is because i think the rep thing is rather meaningless. So I won't do it, once was enough.

Hang out dude, you did great admitting the hoax and it was fun while it lasted. You wouldn't be getting all this attention if we all didn't enjoy it in some way or another.

And folks, there's no W in his name. It's Maxell, not maxwell. He must like to record stuff or something.

I'm impressed with the apology; as has been said, it takes courage to admit one's mistakes. I accept it, I guess (you'll have to prove yourself all over again, Maxell), although the "prank" as he now calls it was pretty insulting. Anyway...let's move on with some QUALITY posting, maxell... I did'nt bad rep Maxell, but I don't trust him anymore. He carried a joke to far, trying to earn rep points or boardstanding, IMO. Washington DC this ain't, I tend to think of us as better than that and above flat out lies.

Maxell you can leave now in disgrace... Or you can stay and hope to re-earn our/my trust.

I had similar thoughts when I was reading some of the replies in this thread.
maxell admit his mistake and apologized. So let bygones be bygones. Nobody is perfect. :2 cents:

Yeah. Maybe the Washington think tank was a bad example.

But I mean no offense (and none of the rest of this is written for you z4g63x. It is just a general thought). But I don't like porn forums. I am drawn to them because I am weak. But I do not like that they exist. And I do not think they are high integrity places. Not in the slightest.
Women are spoke of by many (though by no means all) in the most base of terms. Men are encouraged (indirectly) to let their testoserone get out of hand. And I think they are bad for society in general.

And yes, I am a hypocrit.

So one guy trying to feel big on a porn chat forum means next to nothing to me.
This isn't real life. This is fantasy. Porn has NOTHING to do (imo) with reality. It is about escapism. And that is what he was trying to do...escape. He just did it badly.

He tried to feel important. It failed. And he apologized and asked for forgiveness.

As far as I am concerned, he is ahead of the game.

Anybody that actually got hurt feelings because of what he did is taking this place WAY too seriously. And if your feelings were not hurt, then why do you even care?

He broke the code? Pride? Integrity?

On a porn chat forum?

There are places to look for integrity.

This ain't one of them. At least, not much of it.

It's just an open forum, where anybody can share there ideas on porn, or anything. You can't have 1000's of ideas interacting with 1000's of people without conflicts.

My point: If maxell can say what he wants, so can I. Do I care what he said? No. Will he get my :2 cents: you know it! :glugglug:

This is just another conflict that brings out everyone's opinions. If it was not for our differences of perspective, this place would be stale and boring. I never said to ban him or bad repped him, just used the board to express ideas.

I guess my problem was I had a flashback to my schoolyard days when I saw so many people getting on this guy yesterday and they seemed (not you though from what I remember) to be enjoying making fun of him so.
And then he typed that people were sending him bad rep constantly.

It just all felt like subtle, typed bullying-like behaviour to me.

In all honesty. I think the way he was treated was worse and at least as juvenile (by some members) as what he did in the first place.
Some members were nice about it. And some just seemed to be enjoying it just a little too much for my taste.

But unless someone calls me out about something I said. I will shut up about it now.

Make my beer a Corona.
