Aww look at that mama lemur and her baby. We call them Maki in dutch ;)

greetings from Charleston SC Im here covering the Southern Ground Food and Music Fest for the Zac Brown band and Shorefire Media! Yep your girl has just stepped it up to some legit shit :)

Had BBQ with Zac and his wife and 3 of his kids amazing beautiful people! not a country fan but you cant deny he is doing some very special things! His personal chef who travels with the band doing parking lot pig roasts sat down with me for an interview last night and shared some of his secret bbq sauce with me. HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I am here as a commissioned journalist so none of what I'm filming is mine to use for my show. Everything I shoot is going to Shorefire Media (they also do PR for Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones and many others!) but I have been sneaking some pics :)

Before you leave Charleston, get your butt over to Bessinger's Barbeque and try the mustard based stuff.

It's so good it'll make you wanna slap your momma. There are two Bessinger's, one in Mount Pleasant where the classy people like me stay and another one on Hwy 17 in Old Charleston. They are competing businesses owned by cousins but the BBQ is basically the same.

I'd go to the one in Old Charleston but that's just me, near West Ashley.

And FU with the cleavage shots. ;)

As we have discussed before, I am a big fan of mustard-based bbq. I like it better than the red sauce when it comes to pork. Mustard and pork are beautiful together. we tried a little of everything I think. the brisket was the weakling for me but Im not a big brisket fan to begin with unless its midrare and no one seems to cook it that way. but everything was really really good. the pulled pork was fucking delicious.

thanks for the heads up even though I beat you to it :)

oh and their banana pudding was out fucking rageously good!

Well I'll be damned. Major props for getting over there. The onion rings suck though. Tastes like a donut with an onion in it. Too much breading.

I catch a lot of hell from NC BBQ aficionados because I also like the mustard based. I always tell them, you put mustard on a ham sandwich and not ketchup.

Mt. Pleasant too lol.

Sounds like you had a good time.

I gotta find an excuse to get back down there soon.

I mentioned salsa verde on another thread; green bbq sauce anyone? Never seen any, might be something worth experimenting with.

Man, that is just too damned huge. But it absolutely looks delicious!!!

And Salsa (I have to use the capital "S", as I LOVE that special sauce)... GOT to be in my fridge at all time, to spice up my meals

In 1998 I went to a bar for the first time. I was 18 years old and had been in the porn biz for about 6 months and was starting to be recognized by fans in public. I had an attitude and being 18 with money in my pocket for the first time, I was arrogant to say it nicely.

So my friend took me to Sky Bar on Sunset at the Mondrian Hotel. It's a beautiful bar overlooking the city that has a pool with beds all around it. It's not easy to get in and you have to be a hot girl or if you're a guy you are connected in the film industry loaded or know someone who is.

We were sitting at the bar for about 30 minutes when someone asked if the seats next to us were taken. I turned to answer and it was Prince. He was smiling and when I said "help yourself" he hopped up on to the chair and just stared at me for like 10 minutes. Finally I said "What?" with a laugh and he just said "I was trying to figure out what you are." That was weird and confusing and from that moment on we spent the next few hours just talking and laughing. He liked my laugh and he was actually REALLY funny. Sarcastic funny which is my favorite. We talked about me being raised Jehovah's Witness and being Sicilian and we talked about music. I wasn't a big Prince fan at the time but loved NWA and Dru Hill and Jodeci and Ginuwine, and he loved them all too. He was smart and funny and deep and totally respectful. He never offered to buy me a drink and he drank cranberry juice. He talked about losing his son and his relationship with Mytae that was at its end at the time. His eyes were filled with tears when he talked about his son's swing set and the playroom he designed and how seeing his son only once before he died had broken his heart forever. It was heartbreaking and at that time there were no cell phones with cameras so I showed him photos of my son who was only barely a year old at the time.

When he left he kissed my cheek and said "We'll meet again." and walked away.

Flash forward to 2004 to a Grammy's after party at the Beverly Wilshire. He had just performed with Beyonce that night and it was mind blowing. When I saw him he was sitting in a booth by himself which was weird to me. He was drinking what turned out to be chocolate milk! I walked up to say something and before I could, he saw me he had this sly smile and said "I told you we'd meet again" I couldn't believe after 6 years he remembered me! I looked a lot different at 24 than I did at 18 to say it mildly. New boobs and I had filled out a little. He invited me to sit and once again we talked like we were old friends. I told him I had left porn and he said he was proud of me for it. He asked if I had returned to church and I laughed and said "No!" he told me I would some day and he guaranteed it. I think he missed by a long shot on that one but you can't get them all right now can you?

We hung out for an hour or so and he was exactly the same as he was before. Never once flirted with me or anything at all. He was respectful and sweet and said he'll always remember my laugh. He was simply a kind, funny, sincere person with a tremendous gift.
Someone asked Eric Clapton once what it was like to be the greatest guitar player alive and he replied, "I don't know, you'll have to ask Prince."

Once again the world loses a tremendously talented person.

You will be missed my friend.

One of the greatest guitar players of all time playing one of the greatest guitar solos of all time!

Never been a fan of Prince. A talented guitarist but his music is just not for me. I will say the clip you added he just blew TP, SW & JL away, you can see it on their faces! Nice memories to have from your point of view.

I was never a big fan of his music either. I loved the song purple rain, but thats a song nearly every music fan can love and appreciate. he was before my time but watching him perform live is something everyone should see before they decide if they like him or not. His version of the Foo Fighter's Best of Me at the Super Bowl half time show was incredible. the entire performance was amazing especially considering it was a tropical storm and pounding rain, it was in Miami and I was up the road in Ft Lauderdale watching on TV and couldn't believe he was still playing in the lightning and the rain. Amazing.

He was an amazing person and yet another gifted person who lost their life to addiction. Heartbreaking.

Filmed some REALLY great stuff a few days ago at one of Tampa's Best restaurants Datz the burger was awesome. traditional burger onion lettuce tomato cheese may/mustard/ketchup blend on homemade bun. then for dessert.... their churro donut ice cream cone in honor of cinco de mayo!!!!! yes the cone is made from a donut, lined with Nutella, filled with cinnamon sugar soft serve, topped with chocolate whipped cream sprinkles and a cherry with a homemade churro stuck into the center. it was sexual.
