Marcus Vick

I'm wondering if anyone will even try to pick him up, underage girls and drinking, traffic stop with drugs, stomping on a player's leg for sacking him, another traffic stop with a suspended license.......I can't believe anyone would sign him knowing what trouble he is bringing with him.

Being a VT fan, it just pains me to see him fall so hard after so many chances.....maybe he felt because of brother Micheal, he had to make his own legacy, and that he certainly did. I find it so stupid when people get this many chances to straighten up and they keep taking advantage of the situation just continously pushing their limits until something like this happens and they completely screw themselves.

Sounds as if he got off pretty easy with the 2004 charges. :ban: If people think he can't handle his star status now, just wait 'til he hits the pros next year (if signed). That's when these guys usually REALLY fuck things up for themselves!!!

I don't think he'll get drafted, but he will get a chance in the NFL because of his athletic ability. When will the NFL general managers learn their lesson with these kinds of guys? How many Lawrence Phillips or Maurice Claretts is it going to take before they start worrying more about character than how fast a guy can run the 40-yard dash?

He'll probably get a shot in the later rounds...
I would'nt be surprised if my Cowboys ends up drafting him. :dunno:

I wonder if in the tradition of his brother if he will take on the nickname "New Mexico".:1orglaugh

Oh well, maybe a minor miracle will happen and he will get his act together.

I predict Marcus will get signed by some team after not being drafted, make one more mistake, get cut, and end up living off of his brother. VT should be fine next year even without him (except against my Noles). Beamer is a great coach though and will still have them fighting for a championship.

Maybe it's because I'm the eldest son, but there are just too many chapters like this.
When you're the oldest son, everything you do is the "end of the world" to your parents.
So when your younger brother goes through it, your parents just think it's "normal."

The result is that in most cases, the eldest son ends up being more responsible than the younger.
And the younger believes he can get away with more, often taking less responsibility for his actions, etc...

Unfortunately for Marcus Vick, you can't do that when your life is in the spotlight.
I actually feel for him, because it's probably more about what he got away with as a kid, but can't with his life under a microscope as an adult.

That's my psychobabble for the day I guess.
I could be dead wrong, but that's just been my repeat theory on older/younger male siblings.

At the same time, I do have to admit that younger brothers do have to put up with being in the "shadow of their older brother."
Being the oldest, I have no idea what this is like, but I know it's not just "an excuse to use" when things go back.

And I've seen how much it troubles younger brothers, almost to an irrational level.
So that could be part of it too.
But still, people are responsible for their own actions, and younger bothers have a tendency to try to get away with more than their older brothers, because of how much their parents held them accountable.

hes a little attention whore.

his mommy said not to view him as a monster... well to late.
his brother may be a great player, but this guy is simple a little bitch that stepped on another players leg purposely after being tackled, now makes himself eligible for the 2006 draft... well i should hope so, no university wants you now after a stunt like that.

an attention whore thats it....

I have a distinct feeling the Atlanta Falcons will draft him in either the 6th or 7th round. It seems to me the one person who would be able to talk sense into mini-Vick is the smarter and older Vick.

Marcus Vick is nothing but a thug....His criminal record and his latest move in the bowl game will hurt him when draft time comes around.....A solid 1st round draft pick to a mid 3rd round pick.....Good for him, he deserves what he gets.....

Same thing would have happened to his brother if he didn’t bolt for the NFL early (although I don’t know all the details, but apparently Michael has had some problems off the field which have been buried by the Falcons.)

Don’t worry about VT. Even though they have the easiest schedule in the NCAA, and always seem to lose to ranked teams, they always seemed to get ranked high themselves.

He's an absolute Total Punk. Nothing more, nothing less. Between his brother Ron Mexico spreading herpes all over Georgia, him smoking dope, driving drunk, stomping legs, and pointing guns at people (this JUST in http://msnbc.msn.com/id/10777702/), the Vick family is quite a collection of scum. Did either of them even have parents?

New Mexico. THAT is fucking hilarious :rofl2:

I'm a big Marcus Vick fan. He will be a 2nd round pick. I am also a huge Chicago Bears Fan and I would love to see them pick him with there 2nd round pick. I think he will be a helluva lot better NFL QB than Mike..He has a better arm and the same speed.

I have to ask, in light of just how much of a criminal/diva/crybaby/pussy that he is, how can anyone identify themselves as "a big Marcus Vick fan"? Have you no standards of character?

By the way, enjoy the Bears' last game this Sunday!

"In 24 career games, the 6-foot, 212-pound Vick threw for 2,868 yards, 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran 184 times for 492 yards and six TDs."

Yeah, great stats :rofl2: He's a 6th rounder, at best.
