Mandatory number of posts before someone can post a new topic?

I would like to see this come in, as it would stop a lot of repeat topics.
However it could be bad as many newbies would post a lot of spam just so they can start there own topics.

That's just an assumption, though*. Those same new people also tend to get pissed off at the mods when they try to attach images to the 10th page of a topic and get turned down. IT'S CALLED RULES! READ 'EM!

FreeOnes isnt a democracy, there isnt a constitution here that gives a noob absolute freedom. I'm only.. suggesting that to lighten the load on the mods.. the server...and people who post more than 15 times... oftentimes have to wade thru a lotta bullshit and this really benefits everybody. Hell, there are how many bajillions of threads in the ID section, people should find the search button and worship it. It's more useful than throwing out a new topic in a sea of thousands. "WHO IS CHLOE?!" and that thread will fall to page 2 in an hour, and page 4.. and then they'll bump it OVER and OVER and aw hell.. isnt that spam?

Spamming posts already. (Like how Post Games threads dont count towards postcount, that was a good rule!)
Tell them to click and memorize the few rules we have in the Rules thread.

It's not really about "knowing the rules"...it's about not posting stupid, repetitive ****. You only have 5 posts at the moment and, statistics will tell us (the people who have been on the forum a while), that you are more than likely to:

- Start a thread which has already been made 200+ other times
- Do most of your posting in "Who's hotter?", "Who would you fuck?" and "Who is your favorite porn star?" threads
- Say something offensive, directed towards a veteran member, as you don't "get it" yet (referring to their posting style, sense of humor, how the board really works, etc)

It's not that we want that to happen, it's just the reality of the situation. 99 times out of 100, newbies are going to be annoying. It isn't until they've made a decent number of posts and have "established" themselves as being a true part of the forum that they become tolerable.

The number one problem here seems to be duplicate posts. Although a lot of that can be attributed to a subpar search engine. I don't know whether the problems with some threads can be blamed on noobs completely.

Identify/Name the Babe and Find Your Favourite Babe would be alright because you can find some material and contribute as a new member.

Any thread entitled "Is this normal!?!" in Freeones Talk is kinda a grey area because "it" normally isn't. But to me (who usually only resides in the part of this board where the naked women are), sometimes new members are worth their weight in platinum. The obvious exception, of course, being someone with a hundred "bump" and "nice" posts.

people learn from mistakes, so they should be allowed to make mistakes such as posting duplicate threads or in the wrong section, because their is always going to some jerk that points out there mistake (usually not in a nice way, i have done it myself), people should learn from this, bud unfortunately some just dont

I know I was guilty of starting DUMB ASS THREADS when I was a new member!! but after time and ridicule I was advised too use the search feature before starting my own threads!

I am becoming very disenchanted with the message board because it is sooo OVER RUN with RETARDED threads!! ie. who would you, who has the, which P.Stars would you, who's the hottest, who has the prettiest, who's got the biggest, nicest, best looking, what *********** would you...etc..etc..!!!!

This is kind of petition thread for ALL the message board members who are just as SICK AND TIRED of this RIDICULOUS AND AGGRAVATING PROBLEM!!

IMHO NEW MEMBERS should have a MANDATORY PROBATION period where they have to have ATLEAST 50 posts to existing threads before any NEW BOARD MEMBER CAN CREATE / START their own threads!!

I apologize I'm just disgusted by all the ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS threads mostly un-experienced members are drowning the message board with its so aggravating too find a worth while thread too read and reply too!! :scream:

Look at the beginning of the thread, most of it says allready what it includes ... If you don't wanna read it, skip it, it ain't like somebody is going to get tired of pushing at page number 2 or at the following thread . I can understand it ain't funny, give them at least a chance,everybody learns and nobody has all the wisdom .Agreed some of them are stupid and hilarious but there are young members over here as well, not all of them are "old and wise" , even some of the veterans do fuck up as well ...
It is a forum over here, not a newspaper, it is supposed to be fun and entertaining ...

We won't be instating a minimum number of posts before someone can start a thread. However, I do have some ideas on how to "clean up" the talk and members only section. So, stay tuned...
