That's right. We given police officers the power and responsibility to protect and serve us. If police officers would pin him down and beat the shit out of him they would be abusing those powers.

So, if a citizen beats that guy up, it's "good for him", but if a police officer beats that guy up, it's "abuse of power"...??? Police officers are citizens too, you know?

Anyway, I'm surprised that the mob of people on the bus didn't kick the shit out of him. Sure, they stepped up and did the right thing, but they just kind of...flapped their arms around like little kids do during a playground fight.

I think they were trying to grab him, not fight him. Like grab his arms. Did look pretty silly though.
