Man steals beer from work, about to get fired, says it is racism, kills employees

I didn't say whether he was or not. I just added that he was engaged to a girl he had been dating for the last 8 years who happened to be white. I didn't state a conclusion.

As I also indicated...WormWood clearly demonstrates you can be fucking someone of a different race and still be racist.

Orrrrrrrrrrrr he could have read a book about Jackie Robinson or something and toughed it out.

Sorry Mega, I did not know what WormWood was in that context. My mistake. :hatsoff:

I think the primary motive for him to 'lose it' which he clearly did was the workplace situation, the race part was secondary to that and he may well have not been racist or even necessarily violent until he flipped. If his primary motive was the killing of whites he would have just trolled the streets killing all whites in sight with the sole reason being that he wanted white people dead, it would have transcended his workplace environment which it didn't as all his killings were at work which is where his problems were at. Similarly the Columbine High School killers shot a kid for just being black, however their primary motive was to just shoot up the school and anyone was a potential target. When people lose it like this it is very hard to find any sort of reasoning for their actions, in most cases I'm sure even the killers can't. Over here in the UK we recently had a taxi driver (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...errick-Bird-kills-12-then-shoots-himself.html) who went on a shooting rampage and shot and killed fellow taxi drivers, many who were his friends. I guess when killers flip like this they have lost all sense of reality and would have as much chance of explaining their actions as we would trying to determine what their motives were. :dunno:

Good post.

Except...there is always a reason for these things. Rarely though is there a logic or sense for them.

Harassing someone can cause you to be the victim of retribution but it's not an excuse for it.

Bottom line...it's not a good idea to harass someone no matter who or what they are because you never know what straw will set them off.

I imagine all things being equal...had the guy just been fired for stealing a beer without having felt harassed...he would have took his punishment like a man and simply left.

There's probably a lot more to the story we don't know about. To kill people in cold blood (especially friends and co-workers) and then kill yourself takes a seriously radically altered mind, and a workplace dispute or even racist thoughts cannot be the sole factors. Maybe he was being harassed or maybe he just PERCEIVED he was being harassed, in any case it's a tragedy and RIP all those who lost their lives that day

Well, with leadership like this, what do you expect? I'm surprised

All Quotes Attributed to Pastor Jeremiah Wright

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.” (2003)

“In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.” (magazine article)

“Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run!…We [in the U.S.] believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.” (sermon)

“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary would never know that. Hillary ain’t never been called a ******. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”

If only that damned beer distributorship had done the right thing and simply wrote off that stolen nasty swill, this would have never happened! :mad:/

All harassment is a perception per se. His fiancé backed the claims he made by what she says she witnessed.

Either way..that's not an excuse for stealing a beer and offing a bunch of people.

You sure he even knows who Rev Wright is? It's probably a sure thing he didn't attend his church. He could have been a McCain supporter.

From what I heard on the news in England Workplace homicide is very common in America and very complicated to explain. RIP to those who lost their lives. :2 cents:

Yes, it is all too common here nowadays. It seems like every week you are reading about some disgruntled ass hat who decides that he wants to enact out his master chief fantasies and see how many people he can off. I guess no one told them that there is no guy around with a microphone that will notify people when you are on a "running riot".

I remember over 15 or 16 years ago when this sort of thing first started happening people were in a state of total disbelief. Now, most people just shrug it off and go about their day.

The media goes out of their way to sensationalize these events because the (liberal) mass media want to take Americas' guns away. Rarely (if ever) will you hear about the good a firearm will, can and often does do.

I can see it starting here in the UK too. There was Derrick Bird who killed 12 then himself a few months pack then Raoal Moat a few weeks back who shot 3 people (inc a Policemen) and then himself when cornered by the police. There has also been increases in these types of incidents across Europe esp Finland, seems like angry disgruntled people are now intent on killing a load of other people they don't even know along with themselves, maybe a sign of degradation in society where people losing their humanity.

Bloodshott has a point in that these crimes hold a lot of media attention (I suppose due to the shock of the cold bloodidness and barbarity ot the shootings) yet still account for a very small number of deaths in what are very large population(s), more people die of botched operations or being run over but these never make the headlines.

He had a white girlfriend for the past 8 years. Maybe he was showing his disgust for black women fucking white men by fucking a white girl though. You know...like a reverse WormWood or something.:o

Either way...the guy should have found another job (if possible) or read a book about Jackie Robinson or something and toughed it out.

You don't get fired for stealing a beer then kill a bunch of people because you think they are idiots.

Read a book about Jackie Robinson?
Clever, very clever.
I like that......and its true.

I worked in florida for a few years, with a lot of people.
never really had a problem with anybody, everyone was cool to each other.
then i went back to jersey and almost everyplace i worked co-workers just liked breaking balls, starting trouble, causing confrontations, talking shit, pushing buttons, being assholes.........oh the stuff i tolerated just to keep myself employed.
I think this is a problem in the workplace and USA society today, like a form of bullying, and i think thats a big reason this type of things happens a lot in recent years.
And I Think I know how this guy felt, we've all been pushed.
but once in a while this type of thing happens, sad reality.

If he targeted all whites he was clearly racist.

If he targeted all whites he was clearly racist.

Probably so if he were targeting those who he perceived to be racially harassing him or allowing it to persist.

just call me mp, its easier.
to further elaborate on my point i believe there are alot of people in the states that are just miserable with their lives.
now i dont know the details of what happened in this case before the killings.
just saying that depending where you are in the states a lot of people are just plain miserable.
And i believe more so in the northern states than in the southern.
a lot of these people, supervisers included know that everybody at the job needs their job.
many use that as leverage to to do what i said, demean, insult, start trouble, break balls push buttons........because theyre bored and miserable with their lives.
and, sometimes, if you push somebody too hard for too long, they snap.
i think its one reason this occurs more often than before
