Why is this news? He can name is dog whatever he wants.

I know this is America, not an Islamic country.

My first thought is it's his business what he names his dog. My next thought is it's his business what he names his dog so why is he dumping his dog's name in the public domain if not for to incite/insult a community of Americans?

It's his choice to be sure what he does and it's okay for some of the hacks and lubbers infesting this board to prop it as a joke...but we should expect more maturity from people we elect to lead than having them prodding segments of America.

This will sound unpatriotic, but America is a dumb name for a dog or human. Muhammed is an okay name although he probably just did it to incite people. Lame.

I would see it as a compliment though. I'm all about my dog and whatever name I give him is a homage to whatever it's derived from. Who wants to guess my dog's name, by the way? I give you rep for correct guess.
