That's what I'm sayin! If I had a child you can believe a potential boyfriend wouldn't even know my kids name until I knew every little thing about them! Background check, intense google check etc.. The mom according to the article Bloodshot provided she went to get her vehicle repaired because she was going to take her son to the doctor. Also he was the child's father not just her boyfriend. I also feel bad for the motorist who found Jori.

Feel sorry for the "seasoned officers" who were brought to tears. That shit will haunt them forever. You have no idea how many officers commit suicide. A kid I grew up with, his dad was a really great person and seasoned cop. He just committed suicide a few years ago. Shocked my entire family.

Actually I do. My cousin was a state trooper, the final straw for him was he thought he was going to have file for bankruptcy. So along with the other stresses, he shot himself. While I'm sure these officers were not expecting the scene that they saw (to be honest NO ONE would), the average person is not remotely prepared for it. Depending on what this person does or what La. has set up, the law enforcement community more than likely has access to counseling were the motorist may not. I will be more than happy to P/M you on how I know of that last statement.

Sorry to hear that. I know there are counseling setup all across the nation at police forces and AA-like groups to help them. There was a special on HBO about this it was really interesting.

Some can handle the trauma, other can't. My dad has several HS friends now retired who worked in the force here. Real big inner city with assorted crimes. I also went to school with a few. Not something I would ever want to do.

I think like a lot of women (as well as men) she would rather be in an unhappy/abusive relationship than be alone, especially with a kid involved although in this case he was a danger to the kid although I suspect she didn't take it too seriously as she left them alone together.
