Live Aid 1985

It is somehow great and sad that performers of that era are still on the surface.

Great because some of the songs that they made are very good and they brings memories in your mind.

Sad because today's teens listen these artist.

Madonna, Paul Young, Axl Rose, James Hetfield...they are about fifty years old.

Yes its sad that anyone still listens to Paul Young!

I mean if Live Aid makes you feel old or something how do you think people feel from the woodstock generation!

Most of those artists are pushing 70!!

Nothing wrong with old music. I only listen to hip hop from the '80s and '90s. Most of what is out today is total shit, especially what gets airplay. No wonder people hate on rap.

How the hell does it matter how old an artist is? Good music is good music, no matter who makes it. Completely ridiculous thread.

That is true, but it is strange that young people listen to music of performers who could be their parents.

Why is that? I'm 38 and I listen to music made by performers that could be my parents. That's if they are not dead yet. :dunno:
What's strange about it? People listen to the music they like. I like the sixties, seventies and eighties music. Is that weird? I don't think so. Back then they made music and they sang. Nowadays the try to make noise and shout on it.

OK well, I listen to Mozart, Shubert, Beethoven, Liszt and Boccherini. So where does that leave me on the "They're too old to listen to" scale? :dunno:

Segue to a little culture for you heathens.
