Isn't that just a really nice way of spinning that they are people that think they "got theirs" and have become more or less selfish to keep as much as they can even if it means shunning any moral and eithical DUTY they have to their fellow neighbors and countrymen?
I also find it ironic that while you complain about people stereotyping the group you like you do the same to others who think people shouldn't fall below a reasonable standard, that think the economy should be restrained by what's fair and ethical, that think the wealthy have benefited from an inherently unfair system, or think their are things in that people have a duty to benefit the society they live in even if it doesn't benefit them and you label them as having a "guilt complex" or as being a "welfare case" or other things you have mentioned in the past. It's like you can't come to grips with the fact that there might be people out there that feel the way they do because they have compassion and actually care about others. Everybody that feels that way also isn't some parasite or intentionally freeloads off the system.
You sound like somebody that has no idea how the people you talk down about even live. The majority of those welfare cases you talk about think their life sucks, because it does. Some people like to portray it as them like they have it made and live great. There is nothing good about it. You and people like you like to make up convenient things in
You Mind about the majority of people like that because it helps deflect blame for yourself and the systems you support that create people like that in the first place. If people can somehow warp their minds into blaming the victims then that lets them shrug off the possibility that their responsibility in the matter doesn't exist. It's better for them to think of those people as leaches than their lives as the result of others greed and corruption. I'll tell you what, if you think their life is that great and they get treated that much better than everybody else I bet almost all of them would be willing to trade their lives for yours or even anybody else that gets to live decently and gets to work to make a living wage. You shouldn't have any problem with that considering how much better you seem to they get it than the rest of us.
You Might be shocked that there are others out there that care for more than themselves. They don't try to rationalize selfishness, something more people should do. Even if you don't become less selfish at least the truth about who you are will set you free, and more people could have an small iota more respect for somebody that doesn't pretend to be something their not.
a lot of words.
lets see if i can address some of this.
first, most people who " got theirs" did it by going to school and or working everyday.
and those people built the country.
they have not shunned anybody.
they have paid their taxes and continue to do so.
but at what point can they be allowed to say enough?
when 30% of their income is taken? 40%, 50%?
without being called heartless and greedy.
as far as the rest of the stuff you said, do you know who else thinks their lives suck?
the people who must work all day, sometimes 2 jobs.
the ones who are too busy working to have a social life or watch their kids grow up.
theyre the ones i have pity for.
so they are selfish?
i am selfish?
a person who's paid about 100,000 dollars or more in taxes and never recieved a penny from the government.
maybe you don't see it but there are millions who abuse that system.
theyre the ones i'm talking about.
not the working poor.
theyre everywhere you look.
who make no effort to get a job or better themselves.
who use children as livestock for the free shit.
and raise those children terribly.
complete irresponibility.
i can't defend that and i don't support the system that created them.
and you think these people would gladly trade their lives for mine?
i wake up at 4:30 am and get home at 9pm.
so i really doubt that.
final:
have you ever heard of charity?
