Even if i made an eloquent, well reasoned, thought out argument (aside from the fact that it wouldn't change anybody's mind anyhow) it would just be ridiculed away as "classic, brainless, GOP misinformation" or some other pretentious hyperbole. It seems that being outlandish and unreasonable gets far more of a reaction than being sincere, so why be anything but?
Why waste my time giving anyone on this board serious consideration? The only "civil" discourse that ever happens around here occurs when two like-minded people (liberal or conservative) agree with each other, and start back-patting and fellating one another over how cool it is to agree on stuff. Boring.
All I have to do is say "liberals are x, or liberals are y," and everybody gets their little panties in a bunch. Baiting people into anger and pettiness under the guise of "politics" is a lot more fulfilling than serious, cultivated debate (which I would contend is impossible on this board, anyhow). There's no "noble opposition" anymore, just people who refuse to believe that there is any opinion that is worthy, other than their own.
My "political opinions" that I choose to share on this board are far more an exercise in sociology than they are actual politics. Does anybody have any idea how completely hilarious it is to me to see so many people so roiled that there are people who could possibly disagree with their beliefs? There's not one "right" answer to any political question, and the people on this board (libs, cons, or otherwise) who so fervently believe any differently are laughable.
Politics is all personal beliefs, and opinions. What works for you may not work for someone else, and vice versa. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind or "represent Conservatives," I'm just entertaining myself by riling up the people on this board who believe that their opinion is the only way.
Everyone is so sensitive. Get over it... or don't, and keep crusading for your ideals and trying to change the world... on a porn forum.
