Let’s face facts people, the real reason other countries don’t like us is jealousy

The United States has been the greatest agent for freedom around the world, we engage in more humanitarian missions than any other country, we are a kick ass superpower and we have the the best city in the world ( New York) and the most beautiful and diverse landscape of any country on the planet.

Quite frankly, the United States is a Pantera in a world of Yugos.

We also have the best looking women and the world relies on our entertainment industry to give them an escape from everyday life.

Not to mention what Silicon Valley has contributed. And it all started with a Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. I am so fucking proud to be an American, worship me!

It is resentment. What the United States has become in a relatively very short span - from a rag tag group of colonies to a world power not seen since the Roman Empire and surpassing it.

And the world should thank it's lucky stars that it was the good people of America who rose to that preeminence instead of say, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, etc.

No country has been as powerful and yet has shown as much forbearance as the United States.

Yes, we are exceptional.

But like the Roman Empire ...

Oh wow another one.
Yeah, If it wasn't for the US and its 100 years of nonstop war the world would be fucked.
I'm sure you believe that too.
And I'm sure that is what you were taught. Everything they told you was 100% accurate indeed it was.
And the best part about being brainwashed is that you have no idea, no clue that you are.

You forget to mention bestest most infallible most brilliant most mature most well informed president who reads the Bible more than anybody else.

Yeah, I'm jealous. I wish we had Presidents as stupid as Georges W. Bush and Donald J. Trump.

Hate to burst bubbles here, but... As an American who's lived in Spain for 6 years, I can tell you very, VERY few people in countries outside US give the US a second thought. Look at it this way. When was the last time you thought about Spain? Same thing. Believe it or not, most people around the world live their lives, completely unaffected by the US. They get concerned when an American president starts talking as if nuclear war is a viable option, and they get pissed when the occasional ugly American acts like their US citizenship is some sort of shield, get out of jail free card or entitlement to treat people in other countries poorly. But most people are just as happy to live in the country where they live as you are to live in the US. And finally, New York is a fine city, but I myself prefer Barcelona, and the next time the Spanish national soccer team plays onAmerican television, get a load of the women in the crowd shots. But that's just opinion. As is the original statement in this thread. And for the record, the US ranks very low in the percentage of GDP they pay to other countries in foreign aid (less than one percent,) and with the current leadership in the US, that's going to be greatly reduced. America's dollar figure is impressive, ($31 billion,) but most other countries contribute a MUCH higher percentage of their GDP in foreign aid, because they know it's an investment, not an expense. Oh, and I'd be MOST remiss if I didn't bring up the fact that single payer health care is the norm around the world, and most countries that have it are MUCH healthier than Americans. America is a great, grand, beautiful place, and I love my country, but to say people are jealous of America displays a lacking world view. AND most importantly, there are far fewer people round the world who hate America than you think. The world does appreciate American culture and music and cinema. But you have to realize other countries have their own music, culture and cinema, which aren't too bad.

Stopped reading after “ very few countries outside of the U.S.”

There are countries within the U.S?

? What he said was there are very few people in countries outside the U.S. who give the U.S. a second thought.
He never in any way implied or stated that there are countries within the U.S.

Ah yes, I guess I missed that part from laughing about “ doesn’t give the U.S. a second thought “ until tears came out of my eyes.
The rest of the world is obsessed with the United States. How many U.S stories are on the front page of any given European newspaper?

Now that I have caught my breath, how many people within the U.S. don’t give the U.S. a second thought?
Besides Barack and Michelle...

Yes, that's right - there is ONE single news story about the tax reform. Every other is about your corrupt admionistration and its slide down the drain.

can you show some consideration for the reader and break up that wall of text whether you have something insightful to say or not?

and I've lived overseas in Asia and American culture is significant. For instance, any white person in the Philippines is called "Americano" whether they're from Indiana or the eastern cape of South Africa.

Here is a list of things that I can think of makes the world hate us:
1) We recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and piss off most of the Arab world. Not to mention Trump does not have a clue how to bring peace and stability to the region. May be he will paint a ginger cow.
2) We ban people from travelling in our country regardless of whether or not these people are good hearted tourists or hard working people who want to contribute to our country.
3) We call Mexicans drug pushers and gang bangers and we want to build a wall to prevent them from coming into our country.
4) We want to tear down NAFTA… FUCK YOU CANADA!!
5) We call a notorious dictator a bad puppy (real mature) even when we are at the verge of war.
6) We pull out of the Paris climate accord and say the climate change is a hoax.
7) We endorse neo nazi and KKK ideologies. Remember folks 2500 Americans lost their lives on D day and more than 400,000 Americans died fighting the Nazis and fascists.
8) We call names to the people living in third world countries while we ourselves endorse child molesters.

You use the pronoun "we" rather generously, don't you think?

Seems to me you listed 8 things YOU don't like about Trump. All understandable, but not everyone would agree, so the we is inappropriate. I'd agree that Trump is sending ripples across history's pond that will carry horrible unintended circumstances worldwide that his successor(s) will have to deal with for generations. But again, if you have a beef with trump, specify trump.
