Legalizing prostitution in the U.S

I thought it was "pretty legal" in the UK?

Sweden is even harshening it's laws.. stuck up fuckheads running the show as usual. Literally pissing away taxpayers money on ineffective things like trying to modify human wants and desires. Costing us even more money by creating a criminal element of people willing to do/supply etc, despite the risks. GOOD LUCK MR. POLITICIAN.

Pisses me off immensily, sorry. Drugs, prostitution, etc should of course be legal. If goverments want to get involved I guess they could regulate it. Like systembolaget for alcohol here. That's still a bad idea, but at least better than having it illegal.

I think in England it's a slap on the wrist and a shake of the finger.

There are laws, but I think the police are afraid to police their own law because they don't want any diseases.

The Cops are pretty harsh in Scotland.Brothels are illegal and if you get caught kerb crawling you get nicked and stuck in the sex offenders list :eek:

Which is probably why so many folks migrate to those hotspots.

I think that there should be some sort of health check system first. For example, both the prostitute and her "client" have to produce some sort of health record to say that they are disease free, and it has to have a doctors signature.

In Germany, prostitutes are regularly checked by a doctor. Health checks of customers would deter many men, effectively destroying the industry. That's a :nono: Condoms are obligatory although you'll find numerous girls offering "no taboo-services", meaning they are willing to perform without protection. Unfortunately, these girls are usually victims of criminal cartels nabbing them from Eastern Europe to force them into prostitution here. If you support these methods by visiting them you are hopeless.

Even though the Schröder government officially legalized prostitution (meaning full access to social security) it still operates in a grey area. E.g. they suffer discrimination when advertizing their services. Many newspapers insist on significantly higher prices than for "normal" ads. Also the tax status is still disputed.

Over all, not everything is fine but it works fairly well.

Naturally, there will be forgeries, but it's better than the current laws.

While a health record is good in theory, I see no advantage to one except from jump street. Like when checked in and 'license' is issued to the girls.

Think about it, I could hand you a Dr's paper today from the test I had last Friday saying I'm clean. Yet unbeknownst to even myself the guy I was with Saturday has aids. :dunno: It is a paper with bad timing. Regulating and regular check ups and EDUCATING these ladies/men on protection would however have to help some, its better than the none existent plan they have going now.

I don't see them doing this anytime soon, not when it's still considered taboo over here. Different countries have different standards, and our country has pretty good ones, so I don't know if this will coincide with it.

I think prostitution should be legalized, taxed and regulated. I feel the same way about drugs. To do otherwise defies a law much stronger than anything man can impose....the law of supply and demand.

I am in favor of legalizing prostitution and Unionizing Prostitutes and Porn Stars. I think there should be regulated "Sex Clubs" where I, as a customer, pay a fee to join and offer up my own sex test to show that I am "clean." I can get a membership card, which also acts as a "Safe Sex" card which I can show to any chick I meet anywhere to show that I am "clean" and "healthy."

We definitely need more 2 Way communication between clients and talent.

Porn stars need to Unionize now. They need protection, a set of basic standards and an expectation of safety. We would get much better porn when a lot of the bullshit talent "problems" go away.

i think legalizing prostitution would be a very smart idea. it will keep the girls clean, the crime down, and drug use and other obvious dangers would drastically decrease to say it quick and sweet.
