Think about this: If drugs were legal then the rate of child molestation, rape, and murder would drop by a huge margin. That's right, if drugs were legal, it would save a lot of children from a tragic fate. The average prison term for a first time Sexual Abuse offender is 5 1/2 years. The average for a first time drug offender: 7 years. More than 80 percent of the increase in the federal prison population from 1985 to 1995 is due to drug convictions. In 2004 the U.S. Prison prison population grew by 932 Inmates per week! And these stupid fucking laws don't even result in prosecuting the offenders they were designed to: Fifty-five percent (55%) of all federal drug defendants are low-level offenders, such as mules or street-dealers while only 11% are classified as high-level dealers.

In America, time after time we have to hear about little girls like Jessica Lunsford being raped and murdered by some criminally insane piece of shit that just got out of prison after a 2 year stint for a previous rape. Why'd they let him out so soon? because they had to make room for all those evil Pot Smokers and crackheads. Who would you rather have walking down your street past your children, a crackhead or a child molester? Well, guess what, the crackhead whose only "crime" is an addiction he can't control is going to prison longer than some scourge of the human race that can't help himself from raping 9 year olds and stabbing them 30 times in the eyeballs.

I think you all get the picture. Our nation's fucking politicians are always preaching about how they need to save the children when in reality they're just pandering to all the fucking out of touch old people and narrow minded Catholics - you know, the people who vote.

People are gonna get high, no matter how expensive or illegal it is, it's just human nature. And addictiveness is natural too, it just comes in all forms. Just like I'm addicted to smoking pot and jerking off while watching hot girls get their asses drilled by a 10 inch condomless cocks, some oxygen thieves are addicted to fucking the eye sockets of dead 10 year olds. Lock those fuckers up forever and leave me the hell alone!!!!

Hell yes, ALL drugs NEED to be legalized or at least heavily decriminalized. But don't hold your breath, I have no faith in our society whatsoever.

You make some great points. A great post - to me anyway.

I like the point about the walking down the street part.

Oxygen thieves. I like that.

I think you are dead on. Except I don't like pot (yes , I am an ex crackhead. I just hate pot though). ANd I'd rather see two gorgeous lesbians on screen then a 10" cock. But a great post otherwise :)

Another scary thing is the three strikes your out rule.

You get caught 3 times for simple marijuana possession and you could - under the right circumstances - be sentenced to life in prison; without parole.

Now that IS fucked up.

No leagalization. bloody liberals!

Say NO to drugs!

Unfortuatly people can score drugs regardless of legal or not on any street corner in America, you should say "No" but people do not! As said in the movie "Traffic" it easy for a 17 year to get coke that a 6 pack of beer. It is not a issue of liberal or not, people WILL ALWAYS find a way to get them, if they choose too. Have you guys read anything about the out of control rise in Meth labs in America? States like Missouri are in crisis, underpoliced, overwhelmed, and running out of funding to fight the issue, the war is CLEARLY NOT WORKING. Throwing more $$$ is not the answer either, drugs are more prevalant today than 20 years ago. Face the facts! If they are regulated like alchol and tobacco, the taxes and costs can be used for treament facilities, prevention, and regualtion. Also think about the other benefits with the taxes and revenue. You would elimate all the wasted funding on the war and put it into health care, education and social programs. Just think of the inner city and all the dealers you would get off the street, gangs and the crime you would eliminate. A addict could go to a local state run and regualted place and purchase his fix. Also countries like Columbia that are ravaged by the drug trade would have a legitimate crop or trade to sell. Just my :2 cents: ! I dont expect to have all the answers, but I know the problem......

Well, I don't think anyone suggested 'completely free' drugs did they? However, if they were legal - they would be very cxheap. On the order of expensive booze I would imagine.

The war on drugs is lost. I can see the point of lowering crime by legalizing and regulating them, I believe that just changes the type of crimes committed surrounding them.

Yes, I agree with this. From Nixon to Reagan and right through Obama, the so called "War on Drugs" has actually been a war on people. The big players (cartels, banks and corrupt politicians) have never truly been the focus of this war. Every now and again, a crooked politician or a lower level banker would get snagged in a sting. But when several multi national banks were caught laundering money for Mexican and South American drug cartels, no one went to jail. Not one single person. This happened during the Bush administration and has continued through the Obama administration. One bank even financed a plane for a Mexican drug cartel. Wachovia, the offending bank, became part of Wells Fargo after the financial crisis hit.

The Feds most certainly could wage a war on the billions upon billions that are flowing into and out of this country and others. People would be amazed at the number of businesses and banks that survive and flourish because of their connections to the drug trade. But the right people are paid off and so a blind eye is turned. Instead, they grab a few low level street dealers and a few guns and play "dope on the table" for the TV cameras. And for the :sheep: in this country, that's enough. Take the time to watch the amazing TV drama, The Wire. If that didn't tell the truth, then nothing else could.
