Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster.

I had the opportunity to ride in one this past weekend.

Unreal.

I don't like the styling of the recent Lambos.

I'm all about the Miuras and the 400GTs.

I agree to a certain extent. I always thought the Diablo was a tamed down version of the Countach (Styling wise).

I love the Miura. I think Lamborghini should reintroduce the Countach, basically leave the perfect body styling intact but modernize the interior. I think it would be well accepted.

The Murcielago Roadster is the only newer Lamborghini that I like.

Was your ride anything like Morley Safer's, when he had a factory driver take him for a Sunday drive in the Italian countryside for a Very Special 60 Minutes Segment back in '85????

In case you haven't seen it before (there's 2 parts):

What's the speed limit those cars are supposed to do?

Oh yeah, the POSTED speed limit.

Why own a car that can go so fast?

Is it ego? Is it showoffmanship?

Just askin'.

Track days & easy pussy.

I detest roadsters, but that car actually looks decent as one. I think that's the first & only time I'll ever say that. I'm not even much of a Lambo fan. The LP640 Murc though... G'damn it's smokin'! The LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni is pretty much the only Gallardo I dig... And the Countach is the last Lambo I can safely say I truly like.

You know your cars. I am not a fan of roadsters either. But this one is an exception.

The Reventon is incredible. But at over 1,000,000 dollars, I think it is way over priced. I wouldn't pay one million for a car if I were a billionaire. I would be happy with a more reasonably priced 350,000 dollar Murcielago :D

Hey Blue,

That's an absolutely beautiful car! One question for you: Is driving the Murcielago a very different experience from driving a Countach, or is it just a little bit more power and a louder engine?

I've driven a Countach before, and I guess what I'm wondering is if the newer Lambos are much different, or if they are just a little more of the same "Lamborghini experience."

Seriously

Sorry to sway from the Lambo discussion for a sec, but if I really were a billionaire and could have ANY car, it would easily be the Koenigsegg CCX. No question.

Strangely enough, the Miura is a work of art... but I remember a tv car show that had a road test of that and the guy who owned one of those said:

It's extremely uncomnfortable to drive and its tough to keep in good driving condition... but look at it and you forget that.

I would go for one of the new cars, the one you were able to test would be one I would love to have, too
