Just tried the KFC Grilled Chicken...

Spleen

Banned?
First, how is KFC going to drop the whole fried McNasty image it has? It wont. Send it down to bankruptcy and spare us the details.

I dunno, McDonalds fixed it's image quite well. In England at least, don't know about America.

Here in America Mcdonalds stock is still going up, and their meeting their quarterly profit margins, they now have healthier items on the menu like salads now to please their critics...these health nuts that wan't to control what we eat. there also hasn't been any bad media about Mcdonalds for quite awhile now. Guys maybe you ought to try the fried chicken your local supermarket deli makes if you don't like KFC's so much. I know you all would like Our Publix's fried chicken: Nice crispy skin on the outside tender juicy meat on the inside, our family agress we have never had chicken this moist before. I know there a trend for supermarkets now across the country to provide more restaurant quality deli items to customers to compete with the likes of KFC. To the members from overseas what are your big supermarket chains doing to meet customer demand?

KFC has better fried chicken than I've ever had from a grocery store...Certainly KFCs would be more freshly cooked though.

But I can vouch for the whole, lemon and garlic pepper roasted chicken at a local grocer. THAT will get the job done!!

KFC doesn't stand for Kentucky Fried Chicken, it stands for Kentucky Fried Critter, so there is no false advertising in their name. :)

I much prefer Popeye's Chicken. :yummie:

The stupid commercial makes this chicken look so good. I have to try it but I know I will be disappointed.

Ordered a two piece, breast & wing, for lunch. It was okay. Had a different smell. Sort of smelled like a tuna melt, which was a little unappetizing for me.

Taste was a bit bland. I was a bit surprised because I expected they would really bombard the chicken with seasoning, especially salt, to make it more flavorful but I guess they were really trying to make a healthier product. I also wish they would crisp up the skin more.

Honestly it wasn't better than the grilled chickens I get at Latin joints, and it was about the same as chicken I prepare at home, and I'm not much of a cook. I don't see myself getting it again.

That's a little disappointing. What was the texture like? Properly cooked?

This is actually good food. I love El Pollo Loco. You can "see" them grilling the chicken. There isn't a whole lot of "mystery" in the making of their food. Plus, their salsa bar is FUCKING YUMMO. No salsa packet bullshit for them....

I also love El Pollo Loco, but I wonder, is it even healthier?

It's probably healthier than fried chicken but not exactly healthy either.

Not too many of those Pollo loco spots in NYC or any that I can recall in recent years at least. I remember there was one years ago but it didn't last too long.

But there are a lot of Latin restaurants that sell rotisserie or grilled chicken.

KFC sucks. It seems like they used to be halfway decent. Lately they've managed to have a weird combination of moist and soggy on the outside and dry as hell on the inside, with some rubbery, under-cooked skin in-between. They're mashed spuds taste like cardboard and their gravy is inedible. Nasty

Haven't tried it yet, though when I'm hungry I eat just about anything, except tuna (allergic). Usually when I go to KFC I just order the regular leg and thigh and I tend to take most of the skin off anyway.

No I don't think so because I'm not a big fast food guy, and I'm definitely not a KFC fan. I have KFC about once or twice a year tops.

That's funny cause if I'm not a fan of a restaurant, I never eat there.
