This may be a silly question ... but I've seen people asking about "points" ... can "points" somehow be used in this competition because I see nothing about that in the rules.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'points'. I suppose it might be the voting weight. The longer someone is a member, and the more posts he/she has, the more his/her vote will have influence, i.e. anonymous voters have a weight of x.025 where long time and contributing members could have up to x16 (see first post in this thread).
Apart from that there are "credits" you can use to buy stuff in a ladies personal store, but that has nothing to do with the contest.
In appreciation for posting photos for 9/7 I am using my unused votes on...

When I went to Sabrinas page, it took a long time to load, but maybe the site is weighed down with traffic as everything is a bit slower than usual.
