It's official I hate Obama thread...

I liked his policies in offering female subordinates raises, just ask Paula Jones :D

:nono: :rubbel: <- Big Bill wankin his hunkin Peyronies Syndrome Schlong, yelling, "Paula, won't you come up to my office..... I ..... I'll give you a raise, hon" . :):D
:yesyes: $$$$

The blonde lounge singer (whatever her name was), I kinda understood. She was sorta hot, in a semi-trashy sort of way (which I don't mind!). And the woman that claimed that Slick tried to force himself on her... Katherine something? She wasn't bad either. But Paula Jones? Monica Lewinsky? Yeah, I know Hillary has never been anything to brag about. But still, Paula Jones?! Monica Lewinsky?! If he was going to cheat, he could have had Hollyweird's finest. Why pick a couple of 2's (and that's rounding up!) that most frat guys wouldn't admit to after a drunken party???

Another nothing there frenzying attempt by the Faux Snooze clowns IMO.

I mean honestly, did we really need to hear a story (which would likely be the case if but for precautions like this by the g'ment) about how criminals have used this program to facilitate criminal activity??

In an era where car cloning, theft rings and vehicle smuggling are fairly common practice....did we really expect the g'ment to be THAT irresponsible to put a site up that allows access to it's databases and records and not exercise some means of fingering it's users WHILE THEY'RE ON THE SYSTEM (which is all it is CAPABLE of doing btw)???

Why don't some of you actually try listening to what's being said first and not simply be the knee-jerk reactionaries these clowns continue to play you for?

Try listening again to the gist of what's being said in the clip and not the bubble heads trying to scare you over nothing.

On a side note, we have $12-16 billion per month to maintain an occupation in a place where the rationale for doing so has been proven dead wrong....but not $2 or 3 billion to aid OUR economy??? I mean, ultimately this program is at least doing something tangible and measurable for OUR economy in exchange for the $2 or 3 billion...versus a half a trillion and counting for a bunch of dead Americans coming home and a flimsy "democracy" in a place many there are not even sure they want.

I heard some GOPer Senator babbling about passing on this $2 billion on to our grand kids.... Are you kidding me??? This is the same fool who was voting to send money we didn't have over to Iraq to the tune of billions per month..

Bill Maher said it best, someone needs to start "speaking truth to stupid".

But it's still always a choice between the party of no ideas (GOP) and the party of bad ideas (Dems).

Yup, and that's why I choose no ideas. If the choice is between doing nothing or doing something wrong or harmful, I guess the right choice is to do nothing. The less the government does, and the more it stays out of our way, the better we the people are.

Like letting Credit Default Obligations, CDS's and other financial derivatives remain unregulated? Yeah, that was a great idea. Worked out so well for all of us.

Also, that would be a great argument for not taking chemotherapy if you get cancer, eh? When faced with a difficult decision, just insert thumb in ass and do nothing. Can't say that I know of any civilizations where that strategy ever worked. Greece? Nope. Etruscans? Nope. Byzantine Empire? Nope. Rome? Nope. Ottoman Empire? Nope. Can't think of a single one. Anybody got one where the sit & spin strategy worked?

And garrisonjj, I'm still waiting to hear about these "stipends" paid to banks. I was talking to an old friend of mine yesterday who's still in banking, and he's never heard of this either. So what's the scoop???

Yeah, and "we the people" would be in the midst of a depression right now instead of showing signs of recovery.

I don't understand how some of you get so caught up in political spin that you shelve what little if any common sense you have for basic concepts you personally deal with in your everyday lives. I mean, doesn't everyone get the concept of why an individual or family uses a bank's money to invest in big ticket debt like a home??

Anyone who earns a living and manages a budget should understand the various concepts of debt on a micro level (personal budgetary level).

What should be understood is if you continue to be productive, over time you should increase your ability to pay your debt down on a logarithmic scale.

In English, what that means is as GDP increases and spending periodically decreases there should be times where your debt decreases nearly as dramatically as it increased. Just like what happened at the end of the Clinton presidency. Debt increased dramatically at the start of the Reagan presidency but by the 2000 it started to decrease sharply. See graph.

Beyond what the usual catch phrases are that have been usher out, frankly how were you personally impacted (negatively) by the bank bailout and the clunker program?

As a proud Texan (Philby...where are you now that I need you? :dunno:), I have 2 words for you and, believe me, they ain't happy birthday.

Pray tell us, where might you hail from, campy???? Maybe I can make up some equally moronic generalization about your fucking state, huh?[/QUOTE by jumping up like ya did big tex....you just proved my point(quik to fight tex)....

Cash for "clunkers" was a scam to begin with.

The vehicle you traded for had to get two miles more a gallon.

Also, the vehicle you traded in had to be scraped, it didn't matter if it was a 2008 with low miles. It had to be junked.

Obama the change you wanted and were warned about.

Revolution now.....or devastation later! :thefinger

Duuudesss, save your hating words till summer 2010. Fall 2009, winter 2009/10 and spring 2010 will be interesting.

Economy will go downwards in fall 2009. Winter will be challenging in terms of providing energy and housing stuff (mortgage system is still under heavy stress). Spring will be so scrambled if unemployment goes up.

By summer 2010? We have World Cup 2010 and Obama goes to South Africa to enjoy soccer.

Give one decent year to the guy to show a piece of his real performance.

Geez, give the guy a break ...

Give the guy a break. While I don't agree with his policies and I think they are going to do us in within the next year, I see them as more of a result of what the American economy has been doing to itself for the past 30 years than anything Obama is remotely responsible for.

Yeah, I didn't like most of what he said during the campaign trail either. But it's a result of what the American public want, not so much what Obama is saying. That's been the problem for a long time now. People want cheap goods, a consumer-driven economy, and didn't think there was a price to pay.

Hahahahaha! So much fuckin' truth to that picture!

I know...sort of looks like what was going on with the press during the build up to the Iraq invasion.

ONe thing is for sure.... his whole campaign of "working together" hasn't held up... he's basically shouted down all opposing voices and cut off all debate about his "policies." Quite a 180 from what his supporters were saying during the Bush years, where they accused him of the very same thing they are now doing.

Well, you can't accuse him of not trying!! He's done everything within reason to be bi partisan. He hasn't sought to over-arch his authority and has largely tried to stay out of criticizing his opponents and predecessor even when they were due it.

Gays are bent at him because he hasn't forced a change on the military but deferred rightly so to congress for legislation changing the policy.

The guy has played his presidency virtually right out of the constitution IMO.

The biggest complaints are fairly bogus and trotted out over and over by people who apparently can't seem to draw a distinction between a government taking over something and something coming to the government for help.

^ I was about to agree with some of your points, Facetious, but you'd already zapped your post.

I think what we have with the two parties right now opens up a prime opportunity for a viable 3rd Party. If the Dems develop a truly hard left agenda, I'm not inclined to go with them. And as long as the GOP is controlled by Evangelicals and neocons, I'm not inclined to go with them either. But IMO, there are more than enough sheep that make up a base in both parties... it's not just the Dems and Obama. Look at the irrational babbling and crazy talk from the extreme right wing now. No different - except they're currently purging the GOP of anyone who won't goose step with them.

I think it's a shame that Ross Perot's early efforts didn't grow into something more. Funny thing is, '96 was the last time the two major parties really worked together to make something happen: stifling a viable voice from outside the two party system. Probably won't happen again, but I can always dream.

You know what, Mega, my navel is in fact the sun ! :sunny: No, really ! :spin:

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
I don't like congress period, so the fact that obama is a part of the fuck america orgy that is the white house, then I automatically hate the man. I didn't much care for mccain either.

But Obama is out of control with spending our tax dollars. Thats another thing I've never really liked about the world in general. Taxes are such bullshit. At least income tax is.

Tax = legalized theft...thinik about it!

Then you got this fool running the country just throwing our money away like its water in this wonderful economic time we're in rather than doing things to help fix the economy. He's fucking up and I'm not surprised at all!
