I was having this same exact conversation last night (at dinner oddly enough). Its in no way controversial. A bit suggestive maybe, if you're looking at it in that manner, but she is simply posing as if she were participating in the sport in which she competes. Its like showing someone a picture of a quarterback "under center" and asking "Is this picture controversial/homo erotic?" etc... This is simply a picture of an (attractive) female athlete posing as if she were competing in her specific discipline, no controversy at all IMO.
