It's fine. I think some people are bitching cause it's new. I'd say give them a month or two to adjust and if they're still bitching then you start considering some changes. Another way to go about things is have different color themes available for people to choose from that way those that like dark backgrounds can go with those and others can use this one.

I know some forums have that built, don't know how feasible it is with this one.

I have sorta adjusted to the white though I kinda like the off white a bit better. But in time the white I'm sure will be fine with me. I do like ice so I'll be fine in time.
