I've heard from two unrelated, typically reliable sources, over the last year, that the current Italian govt. is fundamentally a communistic ruling governance and the majority population elected them knowing what they'd get.
One of these claims was made by a recent Italian immigrant who is now a legal U.S. citizen, FWIW.
