To me as a concept, a universe, beloved characters etc. Star Wars is hands down superior to Batman in every possible way. Jedi are the ultimate superheroes, at least for me, not the least because I think most of us look at them and think they aren't by products of industrial accidents or genetic freaks, but a possible vision of human potential taken on to it's extremes. But that's comparing universe to universe. As a movie, to sit down and watch, Dark Knight is better than any of the Star Wars movies than the first one.
