Is a 18-year old woman too young to perform in pornographic images?

However old enough to make that decision and handle the lifestyle consequences that come with it is old enough for me. Girls can become emancipated before 18 and the age of consent varies by location as well. I don't think its concrete for me.

No they shouldn't, but at least a soldier gets boot camp, and is continually training to better prepare him/herself. A lot...A LOT of girls step off the bus with dreams of being the next Marilyn....and end up doing things they normally wouldn't, whether it be a sex act, or a ****.

Oh phur-leese. Boot camp isn't social orientation and world view formation. Boot camp has but one aim: break the man and rebuild him to fulfill the purpose he is ordered to fulfill.

Before the members of Camp Obvious all flock in - no, I am not comparing military basic training to runaways/dreamers being exploit doff the bus.

I'm saying that functionally, there's little difference in the indoctrination process or effect; desensitization to extremes.
 
Quite frankly I think there are a lot of people around 25 or 30 years old in porn that don't have the mental state that they should have to be in it while there are 18 years old that have the proper maturity for it. A line has to be drawn somewhere though. At some point people have to be considered adults for better or worse and be allowed to be treated as such. Sometimes that means they will make their own mistakes and as a society we have to let them make them, and shouldn't protect them from themselves.

I do wish that there wasn't so many scumbag people in porn that would take advantage of the people that don't belong in the industry, can't handle it, and shouldn't be in it. The above does nothing to exonerate or excuse those people that take advantage of some of the women in it.

But they get something...they aren't deer in the headlights. That's all I'm saying....and lets face it, is there really any other way to train someone for the realities of battle, WITHOUT tearing him down, so they can be reconstructed in the fashion necessary? Fact is, they get their social orientation, and world view, as AK 47"s try to rip them assholes the size of basketballs.

I'm not going to compare the military, with a porn career, my point was, you join the service, you know what you're getting into, and you get training. You come to Hollywood to be an actress, and you find out it isn't as easy as you thought, and you MIGHT end up in a bad place, and in a bad way...they don't train you for that.

Just sayin'.
