If you intend to be a good son or daughter this year and order your Mom a nice Mother's Day bouquet especially if you do not live in the same state as she does than you need to be aware and plan EARLY.
It appears that this year (or maybe last year) national flower companies have decided "it's beneficial to you" if we, the companies, don't actually send your order with a vase! Instead, we, the companies, will send our flowers in a goddamn shitty box and rely on your Mom or whomever to "do the work" of assembling the flowers at her end. So much for the idea of greeting our Moms with a nice bouquet of flowers, nah, it's too expensive to ship a vase and, well, we'll get more profit if we leave the vase out and box up our shit.
It's not that I'm a cheap bastard of a son, I just try to avoid getting bent over whenever I order stuff online, and it seems this season (to me) is filled with scams and service cuts designed as "conveniences to you Mr. and Ms. Consumer"....
I wonder if the flower quality is even any better than what you can get at a fookin' grocery store, tbh.
