There was a thread about this a while ago. I can't remember the name and it would take too long to search for it. It turns out that the guy who kicked the kid had some sort of mental handicap - which I guess accounts for his behaviour - but the kids father couldn't have known that so I can understand his reaction.

So, what have we learned today?

#1 - Kicking kids = bad
#2 - Kicking kids in front of father who will kick the ever-loving SHIT out of you = Stupid

and if he has a mental handicap - he should have either been on some SERIOUS medication, or should have been CLOSELY monitored for this type of outburst. 'cause, yeah, kick my kid, and see how fast you visit a hospital!!

I don't blame the father at all. Regardless of his state of mind, anybody that kicks a kid deserves to be punched in the face. That seems like a proportional response to me. It's not like the kid can defend himself or even did anything wrong.
