But in all seriousness, this is a subject that hits close to home for me since I live near the border with Mexico and whenever I cross over there a kidnapping is a possibility. So whenever I cross, my wallet is empty except for my driver's license and some cash and I leave my cell phone back home too, that way if it happens they can't contact my family.
Get me Jack Bauer!!!
The last attempted rescue by US Special Forces resulted in the hostage being killed accidently by a US grenade so SAS for me, also seeing as they're British they can't afford grenades.
Really? Which operation was this? The last, "publicized" USSOC rescue was the MAERSK Alabama Captain Phillips rescue (in this case it wasn't D Boys though).
There are more challenging ops than that but not many.
Aid worker Linda Norgrove, they buried her 3 days ago

I wasn't aware this was 'publicized' yet (maybe the UK has public details first b/c she's British)... Nonetheless the released details in this op are shocking to me (the only word I could find) and I wouldn't believe it if I weren't reading it.
I quite honestly don't know what to make of this as you won't find a more capable group on the entire planet than this particular group in this story.
BTW from the story they make reference to SEAL Team Six. SEAL Team Six no longer exists...at least not under that name.:2 cents:
It's actually died down a bit since the funeral took place, it was a big story about two weeks ago over here. The latest story I could find, I think her parents want to put a line under it all anyway
