If you could play any instrument

Which would it be?

No offense, but that's one of their worst songs ever. You should've been playing either The Hamburger Train or The Awakening, but then again, those are incredibly difficult songs to play, especially Hamburger Train.

Nah. I dig it. My oldest cousin first played it for me. The message of the song is pretty great as well (bullying is shit and turns people into shit). But maybe that shows my ignorance on the matter of "good" bass. :2 cents: I have an electric and acoustic guitar and a piano but no bass. I still look for a reasonably priced bass though.

I don't really dig overly complicated music though. I've always found the best songs ever tend to be relatively simple. Think Bob D's 'Knockin on Heaven's Door," for example. It was the first song I learned to play acoustic on and pretty much anyone can play those chords.

One of the first albums I bought was 'Tales From the Punchbowl" but I hadn't followed Primus for some time. Damn that was half my life ago and I'd give my left testi to go back and do it all over again. But I digress. :crying:

I play Guitar and Bass. Intruments are like golf though, you can always get better. Because I'm always playing guitar and bass, I would love to know how to play the drums.

Drums aren't "music." Drums add a beat and are instrumental (no pun intended) to modern music in most forms, but I reiterate, drums are not music. I don't even know if I would classify them as an instrument, but I know they technically are. :2 cents:

I played guitar and some bass guitar. As well as the harp (harmonica). I'd like to take up the trumpet. Maybe someday.

Funny, everyone loved Sting with The Police and Geddy Lee with Rush.

So let's see, some other bass players that kick ass.Victor Wooten,Flea,Chris Squire, and of course, the undisputed king of them all,Les Claypool.I guess they are all boring as hell though.
Charles Mingus, FTW! He's the one who came up with my screen name for me.
It was this that made me realize there was more to the Ukulele than George Formby!
Have you ever heard Jake Shimabukuro play While My Guitar Gently Weeps? As a classical guitarist I never thought I would ever feel intimidated by a ukulele until I saw him.

I actually like that song that you posted.Give some of Primus' earlier stuff a try too, like Frizzle Fry and Sailing The Seas Of Cheese.

Yes it's wonderful.

It was worth buying 'Love' just for demo version of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', but I wish George Martin hadn't put the orchestration on it, but that's just me :surprise:

Keyboard is there as an option.
Also, drums can be used for more than just keeping a beat if you know how to play.

You will never find a keyboard with as much depth and lush sound as a genuine piano. I have a big ass sampler/sequencer/keyboard that I've had for some time and it can't touch the organic sound of a piano. But I get your drift. :)

I can ask a mod to change keyboard to piano.
