ive actually played everything up there. although i didnt take much time with bass simply because bass sucks and its boring as hell. an no one loves a bassist. go on, admit it.

naturally, im a drummer first and foremost and still play often. i also play guitar and am pretty ok at it. been playing for 8 years or so seriously. played both drums and guitar in a few different bands.

i used to be pretty good at piano and keyboard but i suck at it now after not picking them up for over 10 years. if you dont use it, you lose it with that shit.

I have been playing drums since 1984.
I can also play a little bass guitar and a few chords on the piano and very little guitar.

I actually have an electric guitar (a Neville, one of those Fender Stratocaster copies) that i bought about fifteen years ago, but i have never learned to play it properly.

I would liek to be a good piano player.

First I played blues harp, and was pretty good. Then I went for guitar, I can stand my ground on it, but I branched out into more singer with playing the guitar on the side. Guys who just try to excel at guitar thend to forget that music is better when you don't go and wank off doing crazy scales and doing 15-minute solos :)

Amen to that. People like Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai should go join a circus instead of polluting the airwaves with their guitar masturbation crap.

It's laughable that the piano is not on the list. I would like to be flawless in piano.

'Hey Jude,' 'Let it Be' and 'Imagine' were all done on the piano. Maybe the three greatest songs ever. :surprise:

To me it's just such a haunting instrument and is just so beautiful. I do play a little guitar and while I generally suck and would like to be able to play like Jimi, the piano is just so beautiful yet versatile.

Coincidentally, if you look at the crowd at one of those shows you'll find that it's about 95% male, and the few females in the audience are all there with a guy, and they all look bored as fuck. :1orglaugh
I kinda sorta played ukulele for a minute. Not so much that I played, but my old roommate bought one, and I figured out some chords for him. :)

I'd never take my girl to any of those shows.

I have a bass, I can play bass... But if I could play bass like Flea I'd be a very happy person.

Funny, everyone loved Sting with The Police and Geddy Lee with Rush.

So let's see, some other bass players that kick ass.Victor Wooten,Flea,Chris Squire, and of course, the undisputed king of them all,Les Claypool.I guess they are all boring as hell though.

Guitar for me. I was useless at reading music tis why I never took it up professionally. Thing is one time in music class at highschool we were told to create a piece of music of our own that lasted no less than 30 seconds. I sat and made mine up and handed it to the teacher who hammered it out on a piano. And when she was done she said something like "that was pretty good" and I never heard her say that many times that day in class. So who knows maybe there was talent lurking underneath but it never got a chance to shine. I might have been like a cross between Dave Mustaine and Steve Harris combined with Dimebag Darrell if I had insisted on learning to read music more.
