I love this car.

I did question the filling up every 2 weeks part as most people drive their cars to other places than just work.

The savings is just the daily drive to and from work.

yeah but even then there are better cars out there than an opel corsa. how about an ford fiesta sport. 14000€ and not really much cost afterwards. plus youve got a car that doesnt look and drive like crap:)

There's always a better car and altho I like a Ford Fiesta sport it isn't worth 14000€ to me. I will also admit a Fiesta sport handles better but our Corsa also handles very well. Maybe you just had bad luck with the 2 you drove :dunno: Apart from that, I like the way it looks. In my opinion it looks better than a Ford Fiesta sport wich I think is an ugly car altho it handles very well. This just proves opinions are like assholes, everybody has one :1orglaugh

hehe agreed on the last sentence.

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
It does 17-18 km on one litre of gas, that's not lame :)

Thats the same as 10 - 11 miles per roughly quarter gallon so...roughly 40+ miles to the gallon! (I can't comprehend metric so I convert) Damn, guess that is pretty good! Um ever consider a gasoline/electric hybrid? Dunno if they have them over there, but they get even better gas mileage! The gasoline engine acts mainly to recharge the electric motor. Honestly I wouldn't mind having one of those myself.

Americans only have gross motor skills. That's why they drive big cars (with auto transmission) on wide streets...

It's European hp. That's about 150 US hp.

Pssst...if nobody says anything Legz is going believe that!

No I won't. And I'll have you know I can drive manual transmission just fine. They are hard to find over here though. So a motorcycle is the next best thing for manual shifting. Also used to work on cars for a living. But nice try! :thefinger

I just bought another car myself that's more economical on gas.A 1.6 liter 4 banger.

It's clean inside and out,not a ton of mile on it,bought it fairly cheap, and is a stick.Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Going for a more economical car these days is a wise choice,so I totally approve of the OP's decision.

Small cars have come a really long way! The New Ford Focus and Mini Cooper are great small cars, a ton of feature that used to be on luxury cars; bluetooth, premium sound systems, navigation, etc.

I support the motorcycle aspect, but there a allot of cars with manual options:

Ford Mustang, Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Buick Regal, Cadillac CTS, Honda Accord, Acura TSX, Acura TL, BMW 3 Series, Ford Fusion, Mini Cooper etc.

Big cars are engraved in our mindset for road trips. It was a lot cheaper at one time and depending on how well you travelled together more fun to take a 2 week vacation and go from the east coast to the west & back. Considering now how many things you have to put up with to fly, depending on how you have to travel, You Might decide to drive. This is what a lot of us growing up here experienced. From a personal experience the 2 cars I first learned to drive were '73 Buick Electra & a '69 Plymouth Fury (both 2 doors). So for me what I am comfortable with large cars. But as we get closer to the amount that you pay for gas, it may change.

With the price of gas being so high these days my wife and I decided to sell our 2 cars and replace it with a smaller one with better milage. We looked around on various sites and finally we found one that we liked. It's an Opel Corsa from 2004 with only 62000 km on it. The engine itsn't too big, just a 1.2 liter with 75 hp but the car weighs only 910 kg and the gear box has been tuned by Opel to match the engine so it's a quick little car. The handling is great, it has lots of grip and it really goes around corners, you really have to push it before the rear end breaks out.

Yes, I'm a car geek :1orglaugh

It looks like whoever had it took care of it.

It doesn't have a dent or scratch on it. The previous owner also never smoked in it wich was important to us because my wife and I don't smoke. We're also having a Webasto sunroof installed tomorrow. Once you've had a car with a properly installed sunroof you don't want to go back.

i love this car:bowdown::drool2:

Boothy I have never disagreed with you once over any topic on this site. I have proclaimed my lust for you (and now your hot wife) but I gotta be honest...

You've broken Titrock's Rule #1 -- Never sacrifice style.

Your new wheels may be economical but....that's a bit of a snorefest little box car. :weeping: We have those over here. They're made by Kia and anyone with a shred of personality avoids Kia like the plague.

Can I put the ~brakes~ on this purchase! Don't do it! You and your wife should find the most affordable 2seater convertible you can! Get that instead and F everything else! You both are a couple of gorgeous pieces of ass and you BOTH SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING BORING OLD-TIMER CARS!!!!

There, I said it. :weeping:

We already did it :D

I also found out why this car drives so well. I was going through the service history and the previous owner had the suspension changed and the car is lowered by 2cm. This was done by an official Opel dealer and there's still warranty on it. He basically turned the Njoy version into the "sport" version.
