I love this car.

If Opel sells cars in Canada as well you also might want to look into a Corsa.

We're actually saving on much more than just gas. We had to pay 86 euro's a month on road tax for our old cars. The road tax on this one is just 23 euro's a month so that's another 63 euro's we save :)

Sure, an American car is better than a Ferrari or Porsche :1orglaugh

European cars have always been smaller, more economical and with better handling.

Besides, Euros who tool around in tiny cars don't have to worry about covering the expense for a coffin as many of their cars can just double as coffins in the unfortunate event they crash into a large enough fly while driving at speed.

i would take an old camaro ss over a porsche every day of the week. porsche is the typical mainstream car for people who have that kind of money in germany. dont see a camaro or dodge that much here. so for me.. yes its better. ferrari enzo or spider is a different story

How much do you pay per gallon? I believe its VERY cheap compeared to here in Norway. We pay about 2-3 dollars per litre!:horse:

So you're saying that you spend 1.50 Euros/Litre? Or did you do the conversion already? I just 'filled-up' this evening; and it ammounted to $41.30 ($USD) @ 10.8 Gal (~42.2 litre)

Only a small percentage of cars sold in the Netherlands have an automatic transmission. That's because we know how to drive :D

It certainly drives like one and the space inside is actually very decent for it's size.

It does 17-18 km on one litre of gas, that's not lame :)

I'm averaging 13-15 km with a Toyota Corolla (1.8L I4)...And I do all the maintenance on it myself (oil changes, etc...). If I'm going less than 70km/day then that rate goes down to 9-12 km/litre...but if I'm doing long distance trips > 200km then it jumps up to 17-19 km/litre.

Bah! The best that hummers can get on the highways/interstates is < 4 km/litre... They definitely send shivers down the backs of those who have to fill them up a few times per week!

You are about to be loved - and not only liked.

But the only european car I would like to own - exept for Volvo and Troll - is a Ferrari. One of the classics.

I'd have to relinquish my dick if I was even seen standing next to that POS.

funny thing we are the supporters for american cars.
i would not say no to an audi r8

so how about a ferrari 512 bb

ive driven two and they both sucked bigtime. both of them were a corsas. the one that is ok is the insignia although they copied audi and bmw for that and both are better

(Pssst...maybe that's why it's only driven to and fro work.:o Most people will drive anything that starts and rolls back and forth to work.

I did question the filling up every 2 weeks part as most people drive their cars to other places than just work.)

yeah but even then there are better cars out there than an opel corsa. how about an ford fiesta sport. 14000€ and not really much cost afterwards. plus youve got a car that doesnt look and drive like crap:)

being german and having driven a lot of cars regarding my age i can say no not at all.
and i think our export stats are proving me right:) but than again i prefer old muscle cars

It isn't a POS just because you're used to American cars. Have you ever driven an Opel? I'm guessing you haven't.

You'd be wrong. I've driven Opels in Germany but not the one that looks like a Geo Metro knock off. The sports car. I'd look up which model but it sure wasn't that POS and I'm too lazy to check.
