I am excited for Mass Effect 2 -- I hope it delivers when it comes out!

I tended to keep what ever ammo I had unless I had a problem with a particular enemy. After I died I would just load the game back up then switch the ammo.

Typically when you get farther in the game it becomes really easy, so when you get going at the game, turn it up a notch. There's so many options in that game, you can go back and play the entire thing on normal and have a different game entirely.

I always use armor piercing rounds. When you shoot and enemy you see their life bar. Occasionally some will have shields or armor (I believe they are blue and yellow bars, opposed to the normal red). The armor piercing rounds just mean that you do more damage to an enemies armor - in effect, they make your bullets more powerful. I never use chemical rounds; I never really needed them.

Benezia gives everyone troubles. I have no tips for it, except for what I usually do to beat it. I activate my overkill/carnage/whatever, duck, and take out the asari commander that comes over the walkway in front of you. Then, I turn and make my way to the corner on my right. Normally here the asari commanders and everyone will come to you; all you need is a hiding place so you are not hit by their biotics. If you are out in the open, never stop running, and never stop completely.

I think people should wait to face Benezia. Really, the first thing everyone should do is go get Liara; it's a quick mission without too much hard fighting.

I did this recently and died the first time then adjusted my approach.....I dont have enough info though to help you....You need to tell us what class your playing and who you got planetside with you.

Firstly turn down difficulty didnt do it pesonally but its worth a try.

For example I was vanguard for playthrough again.
This meant I had proficiency with shotguns and some biotics, Push is only one you need.
I had Wrex along with me for combat strength and Liara as its like a personal mission for her.

Now depending on where you entered the room..... Do not take cover by the first batch of crates.Do not order your crew to do anything you want them formed up on you....Instead storm/run across to the next batch of crates. Take Cover Press down on the D-pad to tell your squad to take cover. BTW make sure the chosen batch of crates is the position which obscures/covers Benezia this will prevent her from using biotics on you. This part is essential once you master rushing and taking initial cover away from her biotics and also in moderate range from the first batch of mobs the rest of the fight should be piss.

Now Asari Commandoes will enter the room. The first one or two will rush your position.....Range them. When or if they get close hit RB and select push, select push with liara as well on another target if there is one....If there isnt save her push ability. Nuke the target....Take cover again until your sure its safe Do not under any circumstances approach Benezia. Use Unity if you lost squad mates, order them into cover with you if they lost cover during the scuffle.

Benezia power bar should be decreasing geth will enter and fortunately for you will attack at range mostly.....stay in cover and slug it out till they are dead....Then storm/run to take their position....Flush repeat until cut scene ensues.

That's really how it is with most games. You think it's the hardest thing ever when you first do it then you stop playing for a day or two and when you come back to it you pass it with ease. Your brain is probably working subconsciously as to how to solve the problem at hand; hence, why this happens.

Ahh good progress but dont attack benezia until you have done all the cut scene....Once that done you will be up on the platform with her at close range this is truly a tricky part....Now if your a vanguard I usually hit RB immediately and use Barrier on myself and warp from liara, Wrex too I also equip the shotgun then basically open up on her....You can actually kill her before any asari commandoes reach her position.

Depending on difficulty of course. If you are a weaker class armor wise and lack biotics powers I suggest then you do the cover stuff again....Run off the platform find ideal positions then flush and repeat tactic till Asari commandoes are dead.....Then kill benezia.

i tried again tonight before i left for my ice hockey game....
no luck, still getting SLAUGHTERED in 15 seconds.
got my new plan, my last save point was before you go into that room and face Benezia (who by the way has G-R-E-A-T tits!) and i am going to just fucking leave, go to the hot labs or whatever they are called,enter the code and purge that mother fucker. then just leave the facility and planet and come back another time!
no more help needed fellas. im gonna just build up doing other shit then come back. thank you ALL for the hints,tips,help and guidance. :bowdown: :angels: I SUCK

Dude, this game is so worth it. The file transfer makes the game transition like nothing I've played before. The choices made from the first, the background on Shepard, even the looks. The only thing I didn't understand is why they took the facial scaring off (I had the long scar across the right eye), but I guess that when you're ressurected after two years, they fix you up in all aspects. I can't wait for the 3rd to be released. Too bad it won't be for another year or two.

HATE YOU! im still maybe halfway through the 1st one ONLY! but i guess im gonna play ME1 ....complete it and roll right into ME2 which should be cool i dont need to replay the 1st to refresh myself with the story.

If you are planning on insanity, i recommend a sentinel, high tech armour and warp attack. I think I took armour piercing rounds as a bonus and always bring a fellow biotic, a double warp attack is a sure fire armour dropper on everything from krogans to collectors.

(Not wanting to sound smug, but if anyone wants a hand, I can always offer tips!)
