I am excited for Mass Effect 2 -- I hope it delivers when it comes out!

I hope to see more planets with colonies for the side missions, rather a barren, empty wasteland with few underground labs/bunkers.

Beyond that will have different assortment of weapons this time around. I really enjoyed the first one and hope the second one delivers the same enjoyment the first one did.

I am excited and believe, like always that Bioware will deliver on the quality of their franchise.

I don't think Shepard dies; I been seeing that scene is actually in the beginning of the game rather a death scene. Just a video to get people anxious for the game to see if and what.

I just hope the side quest planets in the universe will be a bit more colonized, kind of like how Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire is. Even if I cannot talk to all of them or anything, it will be neat to see some planet civilization living and going about everyday life. And have a few side quests within a few of them where you can be cruel/evil or compassionate/good. That would be awesome if it happens.

I'm definitely pumped for this game.

I doubt Shepard dies... somebody told me a long time ago that you'd be able to carry over your created character from the first one.

Dunno if he was telling the truth though

Well I hope the ok ending was canon I would like most of my full squad especially wrex he was funny as hell.

The thing about carried over save files is the whole did you let Kaiden or Ashley survive when the nuke went off. Unless they are both mentioned according to how it is you decided upon. Because apparently you are able to pick up to a dozen different teammates this round. I doubt any of the original characters are available, perhaps they will show up in side quests or mentioned -- beyond that who knows.

Either way, I am looking forward to the game. I hope they found ways to take advantage of the engines and take the game beyond what the first one was capable of. I think it will be able to go far especially since Bioware was bought for as much as they were with EA; and EA and Bioware both said Bioware will be able to do what they want with their franchises without any problems. It is just business and bioware got around 700 million dollars; so who in their right mind would turn that down, especially when it comes to having to make games of this calibre?

It is true that if you have previous saves, your character and their actions carry over to the sequel.

Yeh, I couldn't agree more! This is going to be a seriously amazing game and given what I have heard on podcasts and read about it (plus a couple of trailers) it sounds quite a bit different from the first. In a good way though!

Yeah. The first time I played the game I visited every planet I could and did everything! The second time around I started immediately after the first one and thought: fuck, I'm not doing this again, achievements or not. Well, few months later, I am back at it and enjoying the game. Even doing the side missions and planet visits; just not as meticulously. I am still having fun, looking forward the second one, I hope they listen somewhat to the fans and rework a few odds and ends to make this franchise as great as it can be!

Second one should be great! The first one was introduction to the plot, characters/species, environments, and gameplay. The second one will be at best more natural and not so much introductions and guidance.

It should be awesome, I enjoyed the first one, so the second one I shall partake in!

Good games are rare to find let alone an original property that people are risking to partake in due to they never heard of it before. Mass Effect is one of those. Hard to get people to buy a game they never heard of before; however, many do know who BioWare is, so that helps for gamers who keep up with development news and reviews and all that good stuff here and there!

Apparently Shepard can die in this game. BioWare has said that if he dies in Mass Effect 2, he'll be dead when you import your save in Mass Effect 3.
