How does the rep calculator work?

Is there some sort of an algorithm that determines rep power?

The way it adds up is interesting, never in proportion. Like i noticed if i got rep from a member with high rep , the rep goes up more in comparison to someone with a lower rep.

Why is that so?

Your own rep power divided by 100 = the amount of rep power that gets added to the person you repped.
People with more rep are more reputable (even if they talk about farts and orange women half the time) so its worth more getting rep from them compared to some nobody newbie.

Divide your rep number by 100 and that's how much rep they receive. Neg rep is different though. I can test it if you want.

You need to use Reed-Solomon correction.:2 cents:

Hey mega im looking forward to some more rep from you. Please no neg rep for jenny's tit job, mmmkay?

I wouldn't neg rep you but lay off my girl Jenny...

It's simple, multiply your age by the diameter of your penis, take that product to the power of the number of letters in your username, then divide by 20000.

Reverse engineering FTW.

Neg rep is either 1/2 or 1/4 of your positive rep power. I can't remember which.

Calculating positive rep involves logarithms and tangents. It's best that you try not to figure it out.

In vBulletin the admin can decide where to set the initial rep power for every member. Zero would indeed make little sense. There are bonus points for number of posts and join date. On FreeOnes it's 1 extra point per year and one for every 1,000 posts.

When the rep system was introduced on a different board I sometimes use, everybody had a rep power of 10.

Holy shit I havent looked at your rep in awhile

It's a lot like [insert obscure scale] while dividing by [insert obscure trig formula] and multiplying it by [insert some obscure mathematical theory equation] then add it all by two.

:hatsoff:

The OP asked a trick question. The rep calculator doesn't work. That's why A-Ry bitches all the time.
