Lets start an argument - putting my CAMRA hat on 'The main thing with beer is it MUST be warm' 45-50 degrees! The large brewing companies such as Interbrew and Molson Coors use ice cold beer to mask the poor taste of their watered down lagers, it depresses the flavour plus also ups the carbonation giving it a pleasant tingle and again hiding the lack of flavour. Get yourself a good craft beer - keep it at about 45-50 degrees then drink it slowly and taste the dam thing, and you really don't want to start talking about 'head' it's a real North/South devide in the UK - most people living above Watford enjoying far more head than down south! :blowjob:

Well the only problem is with 45-50 degrees, here it's Celsius and that's extremely hot for a beer! Surely that's farenheit you are talking about, which equates to about 10C which is still cold enough.
Except on a stinking hot day here, no beer stays cold/cool for long.......thankfully I learn more towards the craft beers myself ;) I got a few honey wheat beers in the fridge ready for 37C here tomorrow plus I'll be having a couple of nice ales at the pub

l just drink the stuff....doesn't worry me if it's in a glass or bottle :)

Can't half tell you're an Aussie Dazza! What about 'tinnies', beer bongs or beer snakes?

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
As a former barman myself, I reckon it's actually the polite smile of "(sigh) Somebody thinks they're clever" or "Never heard that one." Or the nod of "Just doing my job, no need to be a dick."

Tended bar as a means of getting through college myself and it's both the fact that you've heard it before and it saves a bit of effort on the job. Never crossed my mind that anyone was being "a dick" about anything but perhaps you are just more of a crab-ass than I am. :dunno:

I always drink lager from the bottle, mainly for convenience, unless it's one of those big 660ml bottles at home, prob half would go in the glass, then I'd stick the top back over and keep the rest chilled, till the other half was quaffed. Use the fridge for food and milk mostly, stand alone beer chiller for the alcohol.

I'd pick a glass definitely over drinking from a can tho, apart from when standing at parties etc.

Overthinking the glass/bottle debate a tad, but wouldn't more air bubbles be able to escape from a glass than a bottle, rendering your drink flat quicker? Another thing, apart from you are at sat at a table to place drinks, the drink can stay in your hand a lot of the time. At least if your holding a bottle(not one of the dumpy ones tho), you can try to hold it by the neck section so your hand doesn't warm the beer directly as much.

I drink mostly vodka, other times it's either Stella/Krony/becks/grolsh/fosters gold etc or some Guinness. Jager bombs get the nod on matchday happy hours.

Scandalous bottled beer prices out these days, best off sticking to draught pints for beer, providing it's not been watered down. A case of 20 premium bottles bought from a shop here, costs around the same as 4-5 bottles out from an average quality local place, go to the best part of town and it's even worse.

I don't like "Ice Cold Beer". I don't like drinking beer out of a can. Same with a bottle. I like my beer poured or drawn in a beer glass. And as for females bartenders... they have no business being behind the bar. They need to be out on the floor, tending to the needs of the patrons -- wiping up spills, bringing more beer to the tables, etc.

The only time I drink warm beer, is when I'm camping, and I pour it over a bowl of Rice Crispies, or Corn Flakes.

It depends...If im at home its usually from a bottle cos what I buy comes in bottles.

If i go out though, its normally to the pub or bar so its usually a pint glass :)

Cans are lighter. They take up less room for storage and a stomp with your foot makes for compact disposal. I wish they made them square with sippy straws to fit into pockets and lunch boxes.

For those who say that they drink out of a can, the only beer worth drinking out of a can is beer that isn't worth drinking in the first place. :pukey:

It depends on the situation. If I'm at a tailgate party or other outdoor gathering, then bottles are the way to go. Otherwise (and in general) I find it to taste better in a glass.

Overall, I'm not much of a beer person. I prefer liquor...I enjoy mixed drinks and think vodka is some pretty damn good stuff. And I don't have much drinking experience, to be honest.

Don't you worry there Red I'm not into drinking those girly watered down beers I like nothing more than a malty full flavoured ale - but that ale must be cold here 'DownUnder' unless you can drink a stubby in 10 min lolz!

What's some good Australian beer? I only know Foster's and Cooper's. Cooper's is great with, like, turkey wings. :)

Boutique beers are better in Australia like White Rabbit, Moo Brew (some not all), Little Creatures etc ~ as far as big brewing companies Coopers is my fav, followed by Cascade (pale ale only) & James Boags Premium even though they are not Australian owned anymore. Fosters is for when you are completely fucking desperate lolz! :glugglug:
