How do I fix the damn thing!

I bought software to teach me another language, and it loaded Quicktime Player on my pc. I thought that it would be ok as long as it was only used for the lessons. Well it is using quicktime for everything, every vid I try to watch is in quicktime now. I vastly prefer WMV for my porn viewing, so how do I set it to where quicktime is contained to the language software and WMV is used for everything else?

Keep in mind, I'm not a genius on the pc
