I Dont like Horror Movies With Monsters And Such Because They Would Never Happen In Real Life. So I Would Choose Texas Chainsaw MassaCre Because It Actually Happend. And When A Stranger Calls, That Scared The Shit Out Of Me.

persona non grata
I haven´t seen the remake of The Hills Have Eyes but i have seen the original and i really like it, it´s probably my favourite movie by Wes Craven. I just saw "The Descent" on DVD and i must say it was the best horrormovie i´ve seen for a long time, there´s no irony or "funny" oneliners to lighten up the mood in this movie, just pure survival instinct and fear of dying. Oh, and the Friday the 13th movies dont rank on my top 1000 for horrormovies. I just think it´s sad when every kid in the western world have seen these crappy movies while a true master of horror like Dario Argento only gets watched by a small group of die hard horrorfans. Sorry about the rant but i´m just sick and tired of bad horror movies.

The Descent is a verey god horror movie With creppy Monsters and pure survival instinct and fear of dying.
have you see the Cave ? its about monsters fear of dying and survival instinct you will love this movie trust me :)

I just saw Hostel in the flicks earlier tonight and I must say it was no where near as scaary as I'd heard it would be, plenty of blood and gore tho. I also liked the Descent a very closterphobic film and bloody to boot, but my fav of the modern films has got to be Saw I love how sick and twisted it is! :D

Yes Saw 2 i super nice and Donnie wahlberg is perfekt ind the rolle of Eric Mathews ind saw 2.
and the Tagline is fucking nice :D.
The Sixth Sense where donnie wahlberg plays the guy hu kills Bruce willis
i think his name ind that movie was vincent grey both i thin donnie wahlberg is a great actor:).

The Descent and Hostel are both very fine (cause very well made really). The Cave is an absolute rip-off and is crap.

But the best horror movie of all time is IMHO "The Thing".

Damn, I saw that movie when I was about 8 or 9 and it still creeps me out. That one and I just can't watch "It" from that Stephen King novel I found it really disturbing. I really liked "The Ring", very creepy, scared me shitless, well, thank goodness the bathroom was nearby. "Nightmare on Elm Street" actually gave me nightmares, but too bad the franchise went downhill after that, I didn't find the rest of the Freddie Krueger movies scary at all. I don't really like the Friday the 13th movies, I like it when a scary movie has a good story too, not just random killngs. And of course, don't forget "Hellraiser", found it really disgusting, good thing I hadn't eaten when I saw it on TV.

The friday 13th films are the worst films I have ever seen, never mind horror.
The Halloween series are my favourites, Michael Myers is best killer!
Halloween Camp or Bloody murder are low budget films with a guy called Trevor Moorehouse.
Nightmare on elm street are reasonably good, bit stupid.

I agree Action Man that the Halloweens were good.
I also liked Candyman,The exorcist,The Burning, and of course Dawn of the Dead.

Wolf Creek was based on actual events as well! I dunno how much of it was factual and how much was fiction but it would seem that guy is still out there somewhere so I don't think I'll be going wandering around the Australian outback anytime soon! That was one fucked up movie!

Ahh! A horror topic. Excellent.

I'm partial to The Grudge. Creepy as hell cuz you cant escape it.

Classic horror movies are.. to me.. utter BS. I want something mildly realistic. A guy with pins coming out of his head? Hm. And he's an alien? Okaay.. and with each progressive movie he turns more evil for no real reason? But he started out relatively..I dunno, okay? You could even bargain with him!

Jeepers creepers started out okay, but its also funny and campy and unreal at the end. Still gets points for trying.

Final Destination was awesome. A little unbelievable.. and at one point in the first movie he was talking to himself, and then realized something.. and by doing so he *reminded death* who was next. A plan? So he can change it. All the time. Not the most believable, I guess.. but then again maybe death is *BOUND* by the plan of his!

28 days later was great. Good soundtrack. Nice ending.

Dawn of the dead? Awesome.
Land of the dead? After a couple viewings, I'm getting to like it more and more. But I hated it at first. Seems like a squandered opportunity. I adore character development... and you gotta care for the characters to be scared! Bish dont put your arm thru the door! Aww.. dammit..

Maybe more of a science fiction, but I like Dark City. Great ending. Cool premise. Doesnt disapoint.

Amityville 2005 was sweet. Ryan Reynolds, the Van Wilder.. he's stayed pretty buff since Blade Trinity, it seems. Convincing, I liked the flick. I would've liked more scares, but I'm not complaining.

I love horror movies. There are so many that are just great. I have a pretty big collection of movies with Vincent Price, and of course the Hammer stuff. But I am also a big fan of the 80s slashers. I would agree that one of the best horror movies ever is John Carpenter's "The Thing", which still disturbs me when I watch it.

And I'm a sucker for a haunted house movie.

i like the classics: poltergeist, amityville horror, house is a great one. the new amityville was pretty good if you ask me. diffently one for scary movie lovers. the whole murder/killer stuff doesnt make the cut for me.
