Sometimes I think we'd be better off just getting rid of the party system so people would actually have to vote based on the person and not blindly vote by their party affiliation. Not sure how well that would work...

It really depends on who she's running against. Also..come on...we haven't even hit primary season and there's plenty of time yet for politicians to make asses of themselves.

She's kept a relatively low profile and stayed seemingly moderate to avoid that. As long as she doesn't pull a Howard Dean she'll be alright. She also doesn't have a military record for anyone to rip apart like JFSkerry,

I will not vote for her in the Democratic primaries; however, if she is the party's nominee, yes I'll vote for Hillary in the general election.

phony, dishonest, mean, screaching, smug, soft on defense, big on taxing the rich(that means anyone with a job), inconsistent,two-faced,shrill,cold,soul-less, heart-less,and shes married to a low grade, groping sexual predator.
Look at her face you can tell shes a nut.
So if you want to pay more taxes, watch inflation and unemployment go out of control, watch government get even bigger, see national defense go out the window, give the boys in al-quada, hezbolah and the taliban reason to have a hoe-down,and sacrifice your mortal being, I'd say shes your huckleberry.

Yep, with "seemingly" being the key word. All very calculated (and mostly transparent)

She's previously proven she can readily outscreech Dean lol

No military record like Kerry---

Instead she was repeatedly publicly humiliated before an audience of billions by her lying, philandering husband. Then rather than chosing to be a true role model of strong independent womanhood by dumping his lame duck sorry ass, instead she "stood by her man" (how quaintly conservative of her) for political gain. After all, the vast majority of democrats were (and still are) too myopic to see just how severely he'd damaged their party.

If it weren't for Bill Clinton's moral and ethical failings, there's not a chance in hell Al Gore would have lost to George Bush in 2000. So, in a sense, one could argue that all that's happened during the Bush papacy would not have come to pass had Clinton simply been able to keep it zipped for two terms (or had the integrity to resign once outed).

Conservatives won't vote for Hilary. Those from both parties who oppose the concept of a female president won't vote for her. Anti-Clinton democrats won't vote for her. Few if any Republicans would vote for her. Women won't vote for her en masse just because she's a women. As a moderate democrat the majority of my associations are with liberals. Even the two most liberal women friends I know, women who are very active in democratic politics, don't trust/can't stand her. So where is she going to find enough of a voter base to win?

The DNC has GOT to know (or at least one hopes so) that what with the mess Bush has created the coming election is theirs for the taking...but only if their nominee is someone who's actually electable.

Considering how devoted people still are to Bill Clinton, despite his "short cummings" (BWAAAHAHA) people will overlook it and give her a shot.

For one people are desperate for a "fresh start". People want to see this country get a complete reboot and I think they are far more open minded to a female in the office now... partly thanks to the 8 years of Bush.

Conservatives won't vote for her, but there are those that won't vote for their own party if the candidate doesn't suit them They are tired of voting for their party when their party doesn't represent them. They would rather give their vote to an independent to send the message that the Republicans need to get their acts together.

Libs on the other hand will probably have the greatest turn out in voting ever. After the JFSkerry loss they simply won't accept another loss.

Given the Republican choices so far I'd say they're almost giving the next election away. They need to think WAY outside the box. Fight fire with fire by playing the same game as the Dems are. A woman v. a woman. A black v. a black. It's the only way they'll have a chance. IMHO.

:2 cents: :D

I hate people that say "anybody but Bush;" however, I can't seem to find any candidates, except maybe McCain, who would in theory do a worse job than Bush.

The more people object to the Confederate flag, the more people will show it off proudly.
The American Civil War -- before, during and after -- was about more than just Slavery.
At the same time, it is a staple icon of Slavery too.

Some people have legitimate views on all sides.
And some people just like to argue.
You'll typically find the latter complaining about various flags, including Florida's state flag being "too close" with the red crossed lines.

The Objection to the displaying of the confederate flag is just another example "deal with it" issues in the U.S. Its a flag, just a flag.
But don't want to hurt anyones feelings......God forbid.
Oh shit I said god, sorry if I offended anyone..Oh god I said shit, sorry again.....

there was a church in new jersey that actually removed crosses from outside the building so not to offend anyone.

Dont recall any part of the constitution protecting our feelings. But I do recall something about free speech....
Oh well, just another brick in the wall.

And let's not forget all the professional and college sports organizations that have changed their names/mascots so as not to offend the masses...

There is a difference ...

There is a difference between choosing to change ...
And a politician mandating a change.
There is no "clean" answer on this one though.
I mean, even German has outlawed Nazism and any symbols of it.
But the US allows any and all "unpopular" speech.
And that includes (as you probably noted from my relevant Iranian thread) conferences even denying the Holocaust.

Hmm...most of those are pretty accurate descriptions. You’re right; she is absolutely phony. I think most people know it, but at this point in American politics people are just too apathetic and driven down by the system to care anymore one way or another. Democrats never want to admit their party has major flaws. In fact if they didn't so stubbornly hold onto a couple of issues like they have the last half a century they might have more or less taken over by now. I would like to be able to vote for a candidate where I didn’t have to swallow some sharp poison pill because there was nobody reasonable to choose from. At least with some Republican people, they know their shortcomings but just don't care. I hope everybody out there with half a brain realizes that Hillary doesn't have the American people's and the Constitution’s interests at heart above her own interest or her political ideology. In fact if she takes the oath of office I will probably have to keep myself from laughing. Who knows maybe people like her have been brainwashed for so long into thinking the way she does that she does think she is right. Politics should be about what you want; it’s about doing your duty to your constituents. She is basically everything in politics we have had for a long time, only wrapped up in a slightly new flavor now. That’s far from a good thing for anybody that can see the truth.
