My Godparents are Japanese, I would correct them when they referred to themselves as Orientals saying, “Oriental is a thing but Asians are people.” The word Oriental should be fine as long as it refers to an object but not used to describe a Asian person.

I never understood the point of food reviewers/critics. If I was going to pay someone to eat something and tell me about it, I would rather spend the money on buying & tasting it for myself.
