It won't look that good, but I'll try one for sure, especially with their crinkle fries, I love their crinkle fries.

That is pretty ambitious. 5.95 is a fair price point, especially now, with everything skyrocketing in price. My first thought is, will the bun compliment the rest of it? A good bun makes up half the burger.

The wife and I rolled thru Mickey D's the other day, I couldn't believe how much it went up. Over $7 for a double quarter, and over $3.50 for a large fry. You used to be able to feed 3 people with a $20.

We used to have a Chinese restaurant close by called "The Oriental Terrace". Do you think they would be called racist for generalizing and using a potentially offensive term?

That's the thing about the "O" word, or any other racist phrase - unlike the N word, people of that race/ethnicity can't use it either.

That said, let's be realistic. The defining factor whether they'll be called out on it is whether their food is exceedingly good. If they have the best food in the state, people will put up with a semi-questionable name.

Far from it, and they've been closed for years, and there were horror stories about the kitchen, from friends that worked there. It never stopped me either.

My Godparents are Japanese, I would correct them when they referred to themselves as Orientals saying, “Oriental is a thing but Asians are people.” The word Oriental should be fine as long as it refers to an object but not used to describe a Asian person.

Like a rug or a ramen flavor? I know there are those who agree, but personally, I think it's an outdated term which is racist adjacent enough that it's better not to use it. Like "negro".

Oriental Rug or Oriental Massage Parlor totally OK. Calling workers inside the rug store or massage parlor Orientals not OK.

I don't know if there is a legit use for "negro" anymore. Maybe Spanish people can say it because it means "black". I call Black people Blacks. Never had a problem. Worked with plenty, played football in college, and know plenty from the gym.
