Helter Swelter

Holy shit is it hot here!!! 97 degrees F in the town where I live today and, considering the incredible amount of rainfall we've had that caused all the flooding in the Houston area in recent weeks which has saturated the ground and the air, it is absolutely unbearable from a heat and humidity aspect. The answer....don't go outside. I see a lot of the rest of the USA is suddenly suffering from this heat wave as well. What's it like where you live? Better than Houston I hope! Don't leave kids or pets in cars, please!

In Finland nights are still cold and in the morning ground may be even a little icy.

Exactly, animals should not be left in the car, even for a moment.

So, if you're stuck outside, you'd want to find someplace cool.

Perhaps go to an establishment with air conditioning and say "Gimmie shelter. "

I'm not saying where I live cause I don't want anyone else to move up here. This past couple of days we've had highs in the low 60's with overnight lows in the mid 40's. I've actually had to turn the heater on a few times. The north Pacific Ocean makes for a great natural air conditioner.

In northern Germany, we had a couple of days with thunderstorms, temperatures went down a little (14° Celsius). But now weather is getting warmer and sunnier and as I live in Kiel, and tomorrow the annual "Kiel Week" begins, weather HAS to be good!

The weather is strange this year, isn't it? Snow when there normally isn't. Hot as balls in other places.

There is good news though. The hotter it gets, the less clothes on the ladies!

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
Had to change a tire at midnight here in SW Florida. Needless to say, I was drenched by the time I was done. Of course, the spare being low on air because I hadn't needed it for 5 years and it blowing out a mile from home didn't help. I know I was safe from mosquitoes because I could feel them land and slide off because of the sweat.

No need for any thoughts or prayers, moments of silence, candlelight vigils, incessant hand wringing or insincere hashtags because it's been quite pleasant here in Southern California. Nice night to shave my balls in front of an open window allowing the cool night air to dry them off.

Hot here as well: 95F, dew point 77%, heat index 105F

I remember a few years ago we set a record for like 90F and humid for 30 days straight in July and August. It would be 70+ at 5:30 in the morning walking in the door at work and then opening the factory doors and get hit by the wall of built up humidity.
Everybody was in slow motion and did their job and didn't say much and then stood still in front of the fans till the next car came.

Sounds about right for this area, but not quite as hot. Summertime in Baltimore/ D.C.

Hmmm, sounds like the Pacific Northwest

Twilight made ya'll popular. How many vampires have you seen since Stephanie Myers published her [NOBABE]Wet Dream[/NOBABE]?

It was 101 in downtown L.A. yesterday :flame:
I think I heard that's the highest temp on record here ever for the month of June.
Historical average temp for this date in L.A. is 79

Still a ways shy of Phoenix, which hit 118 on Sunday

Better that than grunge, I guess. I don't think I've seen any vampires, at least not ones out of the closet. But I do have a Twilight poster my girlfriend got me when she spent over a $100 for my birthday.
