Now being serious:
I have donated to Wounded Warriors ever since I came back to my family from fighting overseas and I have friends who are still fighting.

■Wounded Warriors (Vicky Vette): https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
■American Red Cross (Briana Lee): http://www.redcross.org/

Love these two, and have made regular donations. :)

This is a great one too. I have multiple family members with Parkinson's.

This is one that's near and dear to my heart, though:
Turner Syndrome Society of the United States.

One of my sisters was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome in high school. She's now very active with the NC support group. :)

FreeOnes makes millions and you be only giving away 1,000?! That's lame....

You should give more and to more than just one charity. :yesyes:

:1orglaugh

Lame? Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and match that $1,000?? Or send $25 over to add when we start the CHARITY DRIVE when it starts.

You earn the right to criticize what we're doing once YOU are willing to do the same.

Perhaps you can give it on the condition that the administrators loan it out over & over to who ever they think is most deserving, unless the admins here want to handle that. This is a pretty cool organization...my 2 cents worth.

We actually do, this is just the public one.

The one that does the microloans??

If we choose to put that one on the poll and it wins, we are able to donate directly to them and I'm sure if we say X amount needs to go towards loans they'll probably do it. That is, if they take our money.

Hi, I'm from Spain.

I don't know if I can suggest Spanish's organizations, but if it's possible I would say:

FundAME (https://fundame.org) This foundation helps people with "Muscular Spinal Atrophy" (I do't know if this is the right definition in English).

CIBERER (http://www.ciberer.es) This one helps to investigate rare diseases.

Hope you consider this options.

I´m sure, they´ll take the donation, Pamela Anderson works with them, one of the ships has the name Brigitte Bardot .
And Captain Watson does the best job on the planet . :)

I'm with Maggie on this one! ANY organization that helps animals. Ever been to a shelter? Shit is sad! smh

Ewww! Money's dirty!

I don't know if they'd take your money, but check out World Renew. The thing that is cool about that organisation is that their administrative costs are low, and they do really long-term help in disaster stricken areas. They're still working hard on the ground years after the other aid groups have pulled out, rebuilding infrastructure, and so forth.
