Has WWE gone downhill?

I can remember ten years ago during the attitude era I would never miss an episode of Raw cos it was so unpredictable. Even five years ago wrestling was good with Angle/Lesnar etc. but now Im so bored with WWE and endless CENA/ORTON/HHH. Would love TNA to get Paul Heyman so they could really challenge WWE with good storylines, etc. :2 cents:

What does everybody else think?

It has always appealed to the lowest common denominator.

Cena sucks.:thefinger
They tried making him into Rock, which failed, and also into Stone Cold, which failed.
The Attitude Era was the BEST.
Stone Cold and Rock kicked major ass.
Lesnar was bad ass,but too short lived.

I didn't miss an episode and nary a PPV during the "Attitude Era". Of course they've gone downhill since then. You don't lose The Rock and Austin and not suffer. Those were the biggest draws. And if you look at WWE now, they don't have competition anymore (sorry, TNA doesn't count) like they used to. During the Monday Night Wars they had to keep everything fresh in order to get people to tune in. That isn't necessary anymore. Story lines are stagnant and they can't recapture the old magic. It's sad, I've seen Monday Night Raw probably less than ten times in the last five years. I know I'm not the only one that moved on. I grew up with wrestling, but eventually I just lost touch.

I said the same thing last night it is going down hill

I stopped watching WWE(WWF) a while ago, it just started getting more and more campy and boring. I think the worst thing that happened was when WCW was sold to them and then ECW just fell apart too. Before that they had some real competition and that forced them to make a more quality product. Now that they really don't have any competition its just has gone down hill

I don't know about it going downhill. It would be more accurate to say it's fallen off a cliff and still hasn't hit bottom.

Conspiracy...
Shawn Michaels, Cena, Triple H, The McMahon's still own WWE.

Yes, way downhill. ;)

yeah it has cus it is ran and writen by guys who want to cash in on a check not people who love wrestling and thats where they are going wrong .
if they let a true wrestling fan write raw for one month it would prolly be the highest ratings wwe ever saw cus they would give people what they want to see not the same stale shit every week

I quit watching wrestling was 12, mainly because porn is a lot more interesting than bunch of guys on steroids trying to act.

Being in Pittsburgh ECW was always the better draw when it was "underground". Shane Dogulas is the man period

I hasn't been good in twenty years. It's heyday was 1983-89 although around 1974/75 when I could only get it on the UHF channel it was fun in an old fashioned sort of way.
