The difference between closed and banned is a member of a closed account can request to have his/her account opened again at anytime because it was their request to have it closed in the first place. It becomes a banned account when the member creates another account without permission for the sole reason to come back and cause trouble. For those who don't realize it....we do have a rule against duplicate accounts.
And of course, if anyone has a problem with something that is done by a moderator why don't you just PM them and ask them their reason? You may interpret a rule differently than it actually is or there may have been a misunderstanding. Moderators are only human. And, if you're not satisfied with their answer you can always drop me a PM. And if you're not satisfied with my answer, then I can give you the next person to go to in the chain of command. Easy as that.
How can you be given a position of authority and responsibility and NOT be changed? I've never had a single problem with any mod on this board. I think, though, that I can credit that to a couple of things;
1. I don't type angry, and when I do, I usually reconsider and delete it without posting.
2. These mods just aren't that intrusive or power-tripped. I've been on some boards you'd swear were run by guys named Benito and Adolph.

It is my opinion that the higher up the chain of authority you go, the bigger asshole you either 'have to be' or will become'.
Trust me, I work for a few companies, of different sizes and that seems to be the unwritten rule.
