Harward scientist looking for a woman that would accept being implanted with a neanderthal foetus

Neanderthal species could be brought back, Harvard geneticist says

An "adventurous" woman is being sought by a Harvard professor to give birth to a Neanderthal baby.

Yes, you heard that right.

A professor at Harvard Medical School and one of the world's leading geneticists is looking to bring back our early ancestors.

Professor George Church, who helped create the Human Genome Project, said that he believes he has enough of a Neanderthal bone sample to reconstruct its DNA.

In an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, professor Church said that he now wants to put his theories to the test.

The plan would be to take the DNA from the bone samples and then implant them into stem cells.

A human embryo would be injected with the cells, reported the Independent, and then implanted into a willing woman.

Neanderthals went extinct 33,000 years ago but were believed to be highly intelligent.

The professortold Der Spiegel Neanderthal intelligence may prove useful to mankind.

“Neanderthals might think differently than we do. They could even be more intelligent than us,” Church told the magazine.

“When the time comes to deal with an epidemic or getting off the planet, it’s conceivable that their way of thinking could be beneficial.”

If a Neanderthal baby is born into the US, would the US Constitution apply to him ?
