It's good to be the king...
Golf - played a few holes in while on holiday and the instructor told me to stop cause I stunk (one of the most embarassing moments of my life). These days the only golf I play is on a video game......

I have played Hockey, Football and baseball all my life, they all have things that are difficult about them, baseball....hittin a 100 mile fastball, football, patterns, plays, reads. But I give it to Hockey by far

Off the list, hockey. I've played for awhile and for a big guy, it can be difficult. But at the same token it can be difficult for any size. Still, very physical, demanding on special abilities, and often requires more than just strength, size and brute force.

I'd have to say fishing is the hardest... first of all you have to try to stay awake... and then holding the rod AND your beer that takes skill and alot of determination...:1orglaugh

Just kidding out of all the sports I've tried I think Martial Arts was the toughest especially catching a roundhouse kick to the head:fight:

The hardest sport is soccer hands down. All you do is run up and down a huge field for 2 hours with a 15 minute halftime

I have to go w/Harley..never liked Hockey much, never got any pleasure from that at school. You had to enjoy it in order to put any effort in.

Shows you don't know to much about Football (soccer). It's only lasts for 90 minutes,45 mins each half and as you say 15 mins half time.

But on another note the question is 'hardest sport to play'.So that means the most physical and dangerous. Not like some people are picking the most technical and tactical.

k heres the deal on hardest sport to play. Well you have to be more specific hardest sport to become more professional or hardest sport to pick up, If anything its golf. But they are all hard sports i would jsut have to say that golf is soo much work and you can still suck. you can play 25 years and still suck golf is the hardest sport to learn by far. Other sports people can be natrual at it they can naturally be able to throw a football or naturally be able to kick a soccer ball 70 year(dont know how far is far for someone to kick a soccer ball) golf is somthing that takes a lot of practice dedication and experience to play. beginners can play golf and finish a round but theres no saying to how stupid you will look and how lon git will take you.

just to brag a little. i'm an ex hockey player. who almost made pro. since i couldn't i decided to get my cga (cpa american). i was forced to play golf via my cpa firm. after 3 or four games i was playing like 3 over par.

all i have to say is it is such a pussy activy....if an idiot like john day can do it... any one can.
That is the biggest lie i have ever heard you can not get to be 3 over par after 3 games i dont care if ur destined to be the best at golf you can not play 3 or 4 times and be 3 over par.

Golf is also more physical now adays where people are hitting 350 yard drives and almost ever big name golf is in top physical shape. Tiger Woods runs 5 miles and lifts every day. I dotn know many peopl who can do that and being in the hot summer sun for 6-7 hours (Tournament) can be hard on ur body. I once played in a tournament drank 17 bottles of water did not urinate once. Golf is becomign more physical as it goes on not nessicarily contact but you defintaly need to be more physically tuned.

hockey...

so many outside factors...

everyone can walk and run to an extent..

but skating, well that skill needs to be developed, not to mention hand eye co-ordination, strategy, balance, awareness and any stcik skills

It has been scientifically proven that soccer is the most physically demanding sport followed by motocross..........I ride motocross so im not being biased towards soccer.

just to let you know its true

 motocross

lol just played 2 days of cricket and we bowled brilliantly but they just slogged and were lucky not to get out earlier, lol we lost both games. But they were close.

Outlaw dirt track racing and WRC are in my opinion much harder than any team sport. 100 MPH on dirt strapped to 300 HP of roll-cage blasting up a mountain is intense. Your also responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars of machine and yours and your co-pilot's life.

No performance enhancing drug can help you race better. Also me and my Friends can play any team sport and have fun and not get hurt, Us playing in the majors with the steroid freaks, no way. But Football, Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Rugby, whatever, all you need is some friends and you can play. But to race, no matter how slow, tests your reflexes, your ability to control an annalistic force, and your strength. You don't have to go all out in team sports, but racing is faster than you'll ever move and it's a tiering stress on the body. What sport do you have to wear a fire suit? What sport puts you in front of or behind a fire breathing machine thats liable to explode at the wrong touch?

Track and hoarse racing have been sports since the time of the Romans. Racing is an ancient sport and pits people against each other in the simplest task; be first. God I love racing.

It's not on the list, but if we are talking about hardest as in most physically demanding I would go with boxing. It's like fighting, but with rules that make it last longer and allow you to get your head beaten in more.
