Hardest level you've ever played.

The 4th Level in Dead Space. the part where you have to shoot all those Astroids is a real Headache. its like banging your Head Against a conrete wall. and your saying to yourself O DEAR SWEET JESUS HELP ME WIN!!!!!

A level I found hard was in MW2 (on the hardest difficulty) when you're storming the front lawn of the white house. That's fucking intese. It took me a little bit to figure out to get on the turret and take out the turrets in the whitehouse. I was just running blind through the battlefield for the first few times I did it. It's amazing in the sense that on the easier difficulties, I didnt have to do that.

I have a new hardest level. Chapter 15 of Dead Space 2. It is the last level of the game, but there are so many things going after you it is insane. I will not spoil the final boss, but I can't beat it at all. I may go through the game and try it on an easier difficulty (I'm playing it on Hard) just to be able to beat the boss.

I think it was the third level of Battletoads where you're racing on some kind of hovercraft and you have to avoid obstacles. That level beat my ass. I could never finish it.

There have been MANY moments in many games that have had me slamming my controller down and pressing the "Off" button ...

But a golden one for me was the boss fight against Crying Wolf in Metal Gear Solid 5 (on the hardest difficulty setting). What made it so hard was because I was going for the Big Boss endgame ranking. It took HOURS one Saturday afternoon/evening to beat it under the correct conditions. I kept setting off a fucking Alert Mode even though I was using the Mosin Nagant silenced tranq. rifle. Long story short: I finally figured how to beat that level (with some luck and some reserve patience) and got the Big Boss rank! :partysml:

there have been many games that frustrated the fuck out of me but either (1.) I took a break from the game for a day or so and went back with an fresh outlook and beat the level or (2.) i just kept playing screaming, cursing, bending and twisting controllers in my hands from sheer hatred for that current level or spot in the game. but i got through it eventually with raised blood pressure.....
but only one game made me actually unplug my controller, wrap the cord around my hand,go outside on my front walkway and smash the controller onto the concrete so hard that the metal round thing that activates the "rumble" in said controller shot up and OVER my house into the backyard!!

that game would be for the old N64 ...wrestlemania... i was doing the story mode and the next level "option" was to WIN the MATCH (no choice to lose) to get a title shot at wrestlemania and i had to win a 2 on 1 match vs triple H and x-pac
i had to play it well over 25 times cause i lost every time! i tried every single way to win,in the ring, out of the ring, grabbed weapons immediately, focused on 1 guy instead of fighting both, ran around the ring and just did like dive bomb hits to 1 guy then ran away before i could get hit.
i cannot remember if i ever beat that match but i wanted the wrestlemania title shot if you lost you were like stuck in a tag team match at the beginning of the card and it was stupid.
i felt sorry for that controller it was blasted to smithereens! AND i had to immediately go buy i new one because i only had 1 controller. i think the ride to the local gaming store was my "fucking calm down!!" moment.
sorry for the length but its my favorite gaming story!

The final level of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. I had to retry between 27-30 times. It really hurt my stats for the entire game. :p

I have a couple saved profiles with my old Road To Wrestlemania playthroughs. I remember having the most trouble with the Royal Rumble, and that was it. I beat it with Stone Cold Steve Austin, so I got his Rattlesnake Heavyweight belt, and I made that my Heavyweight championship. Wrestlemania 2000 was and still is a great game.

I'll second that, Battletoads was the first 'hard but still awesome' game ever made. The hoverbike stage was nearly impossible but when I was younger a friend and I played it for hours and hours and finally passed it. The last few parts of that stage are insane, your doing like ~200mph and have about .1 seconds of notice which walls to avoid lol

Heck I think battletoads on NES is better then 99% of the stuff made today. I could pop a copy of it in the old NES and have a blast in 2player mode right now

Tryna kick Juggernauts Butt in X2-Wolverine's Revenge in the HARD mode was ONE helluva experience.... I had to play the WHOLE level like 21 times before I managed to get that motherfucker for good..... Really, that was tough.... Also, RA2 - Yuri's Revenge - The last level almost drove me insane!!! Definitely my pick for the hardest levels I'v played....
