Halo Reach

This is truly a sad day...Halo reach is released and nobody has a copy, or is posting anything in the game threads...

blah...

I think it still feels like a Halo game, which is a good thing. But the tweaks and new additions kick ass...Its not CoD, its HALO and its freaking awesome!!!

Btw, i am so sick of hearing all these dumbass kids on live, "this game sucks". Then I ask them if they are even old enough to have remembered playing Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 online...most of them say they arent...so in the end, only the true Halo veterans are seeming to really like this game...

Kids today say everything sucks, they don't appreciate how easy they've got it. When i was at school/college we didn't have mobiles, MP3s, next gen games consoles, dvds, fact PCs or internet (a lucky few has dial-up) yet they've got all this and we were probably happier at their age than they are now. Stupid kids.

Two of my buddies are big HALO fans, and both of them ended up getting the Reach Legendary edition, which was sweet enough to make me want to buy the game. The figurines themselves were pretty cool, and all of the other stuff that came with it, was a good buy.

My buddies said that the Legendary edition is sold out. I will get a couple of the action figures and the Limited edition, so I can have my own form of legendary edition.

My buddies also played the game enough to tell you that the storyline is awesome, the cut-scenes are cool and most importantly the graphics are amazing. Never before have I seen HALO in such an amazing viewpoint.

They played the co-op storyline for a little bit, had other people join, and then they started doing the map maker option before I had to leave.

Overall I would say this is a must buy. I would have gotten it, but I'm saving for two other games. I would give the Legendary Edition-5/5 Stars.

you rate games with a perfect score before playing them? ok...but anyways...GO PLAY IT!!! and its all about multiplayer!!!!

Just because some kids say play or like COD doesn't mean Halo is inferior. It is in every shape and form a far superior campaign game. Depending who you are is whether you'll like Halo or COD multiplayer (but COD's campaign can never hold a candle to Halo). I hate the shit out of that awful perk system, so Activision can lick a nut.

As for Reach, so far I've:

Played 4-5 decent length FireFight games (much more enjoyable than ODST's version)
- I can definitely see even myself going in alone and playing
Played Big Team Battle in MM
- Hemorrhage is a godsend. Paradiso is also quite good. The other BTB maps are rather average, so far.
Played Team Objective in MM
- Since Halo 2, I've loved CTF, Assault, and the like. Halo Reach brings back (!) Halo 2's bomb style and it's glorious. Team Objective will most likely be my most wanted playlist. I haven't played in Pinnacle, yet. :(
Completed the four-player coop campaign on XBL
- Amazing experience. My most favorite co-op campaign experience since Halo: CE in any game. Bungie really knocked it out of the park. :)

It's funny this game wasn't even mentioned on some poll they had on here. But yet some other junk was.

+1

AGREE on the multiplayer part in these games today, most gamers just skip the campaign and go all out on online

it is good for a while but i just don't get how can people spend so many hours without an aim or motivation to just shoot-kill shoot-kill games

When will this series die? It's just the same shit over and over again.

I think you can say that about a lot of video game franchises. Call of duty is pretty much the same thing every game , it's you in the army trying to win the war against the bad guys , but even though it's the same concept , it's still fun because it's new. Same goes with the god of war series , is it that different every game ? The way I look at it , it's always Kratos being pissed and wanting revenge but it's still great. I really don't get why some people are always bashing Halo.

the aging formula is the problem

but don't compare GOW to COD

GOW and other games like FF,MGS,etc are more about story based which motivates you keep playing but

but FPS like COD are more like just shoot-kill shoot-kill online

most COD players didn't even touch the campaign and those who did were disappointed with the short length and how bad it was.these games are just online these days

Even though games like gow , ff and mgs are story based , it's still the same formula over and over but that doesn't change the fact that all the gow where great. For me Halo has always been about the single player campaign and the story , never the multi player and I think i'm not the only one. That's what motivates me to come back , to see where the story is going next. I have always hated halo multi player.

Well, speaking as someone who queued at midnight for the Reach Console and had the legendary edition delivered the next day (Thank you amazon!) I have to say I was actually impressed. Finished the story on normal over a period of two days and about to restart it on legendary before trying my hand at multiplayer.

I wont comment on story elements yet until more guys on the board catch up. Graphically an amazing looking game, smooth game play and all around fantastic. Definitely not worth 10/10 - no game is, but at least a 9!

they provide a bit of twist and new gameplays in games too

i would hate if FF,MGS,GOW type games started to implement multiplayer just because its the COOL thing

i am happy with what GOW3,MGS4 did, a bit disappointed with FF13 though but atleast they didn't sell-out for the multiplayer

I picked it up after work today. I've only touched on the single player so far, preferring to hold of to the weekend when i can play multiplayer and get stomped thoroughly...*sigh*, but it's been enjoyable thus far. Hopefully I'll be able to play some more after work tomorrow too.

picked up Reach today ...only about 3 or 4 missions into it, but its awesome so far.

will get into the multiplayer after i'm done with the campaign.

i just started the campaign earlier today, and I am soo impressed...

when i think about how the game is presented alone combined with the soundtrack (always awesome on bungie) and the storyline so far...its such an awesome experience to go along with the AWESOME multiplayer!!!

I love the Spartans Vs. Elites...so much fun...

Some games are better without multi-player definitely. So far I haven't played any halo reach multi-player. The campaign is great , this looks like the best halo ever to me.

Well, thats the game completed on legendary (on solo) and man was that tough! Major disapointment though, the game lacked a bonus ending for the hardest setting. In fact the east egg ending that I found via youtube sucked big time in my own opinion, but hey no matter.

How we all doing?

Best game in a long time! But of course I am biased since I have been a long time Halo fan since the original was released. :)

Anyone playing on Xbox Live?
