A drum periferal will be added to GHIV!!! Sadly its the only way they can compete with rock band. Of course being guitar hero the game play will no doubt be 100x better than rock band. AND the songs will actually be challenging!!!

I can't wait for this . Too bad they have 5 drum pads though, that means that RB drums and GHIV drums probably won't be backwards compatible. Hopefully they make it more challanging this time, and eliminate boss battles.

Yea, it needs to be a touch more challenging but not to much since I still have problems with some of the songs on III. They say the boss battles will be back but without the emphasis on attacks. As for the drums, it doesn't matter since this will no doubt be the rockband killer!!!

Extra Peripherals and a *New* feature to the classic guitar controller = About damned time.

Ramping the difficulty up even further = Fuck you!

Expert Mode on GH 1 and 2 = Hard mode on 3.

Boss battles were pretty fucking gay as well as a pain in the ass! I can't get the motherfucking achievement for beating the game on hard because of that lou battle bullshit!

It is about time they added "something" to the guitar controller, it always felt like it was missing something.

I like the difficulty just where it is. I can play on hard just fine and have fun with it. I can even play little over half the songs on expert and improve a little each time yet it still challenges me toward the bottom of the list.

I don't care though, I'm still buying this.

I'm still debating on whether I should spend the $190 on the full pack or just get the game and new guitar (my Xplorer is getting old). If the drums work with Rock Band (Fat chance in Hell ) I will probably do it, but it is a lot of money.

I can't wait to see the setlist for this game

Guitar Hero:World Tour I expect will blow rock band away! I also can't wait to see the track list! God damn, there better be some metallica! The 3 they have to download for rockband were good songs, but in true rockband style they fucked em up!

I wouldn't bank on Metallica in GH:WT since they are making Guitar hero: Metallica. It kind of sucks, but I must have it.

There's a big difference between actual full experience electronic drumsets and money saving kits. I mention electronic drumsets because of the placement of each drum, which in Rockband and GH4 makes it hard to pull off fills a grooves.

Just a game, don't worry, "rEaL" guitars will still exist.


As for the game, the only thing im worried about is how the songs for the setlist will be chosen. The past three games chose songs that had awesome riffs, solos, chords galore, etc. Now, like what RB had to do, GH4 probably has to choose songs that have an equal, or close to, amount of Guitar play, drum, bass, and vocals instead of totally focusing on finding a song with the best solo and not really caring about the other things. But, i could be wrong, hopefully.

I'm sure you are wrong! Or at least I hope you are.

RB has a good idea with the 2 guitar parts, mic and drums. I'll give em that. But the game still sucks IMO. Probably cause I'm hooked on the guitar parts since the first GH came out and the solos and such fall far short of what they really could be. I'm assuming that GH:WT will solve that problem by making all 4 parts equally challenging to play! While still including awesome solos, and making the drums still fun as well!

I might have to put down the plastic axe and pick up the plastic drums for this game! I was starting to get into the drums on RB the few times I've played it! Mostly cause like I said the guitar parts suck! Dunno, maybe I'll be torn between what to play cause the whole game will be fun not just one instrument!!!
