For the American market would have to say supernatural, for the English market nothing will ever beat Phoenix Nights, done no further suggestions needed !!!!!

twilight zone takes the cake as best sci fi show ever just becuase its classic and who knows where sci fi would be without it. classic star trek and next generation are are also genre defining shows. X files is amazing but got shitty towards the end. i don't no dr who so i can't say it is bad but i hear great things.

Seinfeld is the best comedy ever.

as far as cartoons tom and jerry shit is the balls i still laugh my ass off to that shit.

don't get down on tv dramas i.e. breaking bad, walking dead, dallas, Miami vice, or 90210. so i have no opinion.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Mary Tyler Moore Show

Sorry for those who never saw this but this is far and away the best show EVER and the Final Episode is by far the best final show EVER

Chuckles the Clown dying might be the funniest 30 minutes in TV History

Truth! I remember laughing so hard when that came on that tears came to my eyes and I had trouble breathing.

Nothing wrong with it and it's an honest question, but one issue with the poll is that it just includes shows that have been on in the past few years. So yeah, great older shows (I Love Lucy, Twilight Zone, Mary Tyler Moore, Hill St. Blues, MASH, St. Elsewhere, etc.) have been left out. It's not to say that some of the modern shows aren't entertaining. But IMO, when TV shows couldn't rely on tits & ass or semi-explicit sex scenes and weird shit to attract an audience (when writers actually had to write and use their brains), the shows were of higher quality.

I'm sure i'm forgetting a lot of them but the two that I will always watch if they're still on are :

1.Married With Children
2. Spin City

The Twilight Zone, hands down, and 2nd place isn't even close.

Good pick. Rod Serling certainly was ahead of his time. I have the box set of the whole run and still watch even though I've seen the episodes many times.

I'm a big fan of Night Gallery too.

I had forgotten how good The Twilight Zone really was until I caught about half the series in syndication on The KUBE late nights a couple of years ago. Way ahead of it's time and broke a ton of new ground. I'd rank M*A*S*H way up there with The Twilight Zone, it's as good, just different category.
